Longing for insane brutality? You can either grab your favorite Emperor record or get the latest Epoch Of Unlight, 'The Continuum Hypothesis'. Fifth album from Epoch Of Unlight, third one through The End Records, this record is also the debut of abnormal singer B.J. Cook. The legion of doom composed by Tino LoSicco [drums], Josh Braddock [guitars] and Joe Totty [bass] is stronger than ever, merging Thrash, Death and Black with rare intensity and technique.
Emperor, Impaled Nazarene, Carcass, Kreator and At The Gates fans should be some of Epoch Of Unlight enthusiasts. With slashing, aggressive guitar riffing, empowering bass lines, demolition drumming and psychiatric hospital vocals, the band surely knows how to shape abysmal chaos into juggernaut tracks. Don't expect any ballads on this album, it's 100% blasting, jumping and shouting and it's all we want.
If Metal were purely diabolical, Epoch Of Unlight would be kings alongside bands such as Emperor and Impaled Nazarene. 'The Continuum Hypothesis' is a monster release of energy, technique and rhythm that should appeal to anyone with tastes going beyond your average people music.
