This is something for all the nostalgic of the Wacken Open Air 2004, a "trOO" compilation with more than 210 mins of live music recorded during the gigantic German festival. For sure if you was in Germany in August 2004 this is a must, but this is also certainly something for all the ones who dream to go there one day. At least with this album, you'll be able to see how "sounds" this amazing summer festival?

No need to rate this album evidently, because that's always very difficult to write a review of a compilation especially when you can find famous bands like Dio or Motorhead and very unknown local bands. But at least this 3xCD propose more than 210 mins of music recorded during the German Festival and that's a good thing to discover the Wacken. And it sounds good, all the songs are in general Hits of the bands like the "Holy Diver" of Mr Dio and it's easy to understand when you hear the crowd that the pit of the Wacken is a synonym of fury and chaos. I don't know this festival I was never gone to the Wacken but this album is like a subliminal message which says to me "go there asshole!!!" and I think that this CD can help to convince some undecided people?

One last important thing with this album, the quality of the production. Even if I don't have the original CD and only a promo album without the 3rd CD, I can say that the booklet is good, with pictures, and a lot of information about the event (don't expect exceptional artworks however? this is a "Festival" compilation) but above all the sound is nice. For a live we have a good recording, we can hear the musicians like the crowd and it gives a good general impression of this festival. Nothing to add?

This Armageddon Over Wacken - "Live 2004" is a must for all the ones who was at the Wacken in 2004. Who don't want to listen to the performances of the bands that they saw live during this show? For all the others actually it depend of you because this album is really varied, from Heavy to Grindcore then if you're open-minded no problem but if it is not the case, go away this is definitely not something for you. But at the end, if you want to discover or remember the Wacken Open Air Festival 2004, this CD is for you? 3 CD, 210 mins of music for only 18?? you see what I mean?
