I know, right? The grindcore category for the awards was one of my favorites this year. Really tight selection. But maybe that's just me considering I don't find too many of them in your list I pretty much liked all of them.

Providence seemed to get praised everywhere. Theyre one of my favorite bands and I think that this EP is theiir strongest material in a while.

Weekend Nachos is pretty much grindcore, and its really pissed off. Mother Mars is stoner, and their album is streaming for free on their bandcamp. At first it starts a little generic, but after the first 2 min or so they start jamming and its awesome

I have to do all the work around here. The Corpsessed EP isn't linked correctly. Fix that.

I wrote down half a dozen names I intend to check out. Execracacation and Baring Feet sound tasty, could you tell me what they play?
Didn't you tell me to listen to that Mother Mars one?

Execration plays some pretty dark, dissonant death metal. Baring Teeth is similar to Gorguts - definitely a grower. And yeah, Mother Mars rules. Dunno how they remain an unknown for stoner rock/metal
