Top Metal Albums Each Year I Have Been Alive, 1990
A little list series where I list my top 20 favorite metal albums every year starting from the year I was born in.
1990 is the year where my all time favorite metal album came out, I had to make some tough cuts for this list especially Danzig ii, Riot's The Privilege Of Power and Suicidal Tendencies's Lights... Camera... Revolution. Also I respect Pantera more than I like there music and the same for Entombed

Death - Spiritual Healing 4. Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss 5. Obituary - Cause of Death 6. Entombed - Left Hand Path 7. Pantera - Cowboys from Hell 8. Kreator - Coma of Souls 9. Artillery - By Inheritance 10. Nocturnus - The Key

I sense this will be the start of a longer series of lists.  Looking forward to it.But Slayer getting faster on Seasons than on Reign in Blood? Naaah.... Edit: oops, only now I saw that this is not Feynmann's list. Sorry for the confusion. This was supposed to be a reply to his post above.

Posts: 3432 Written by Redel on 19.06.2022 at 20:50 Good point  But this was when death metal was really hitting its stride, JP had their most ferocious album, Schuldiner was getting more technical, Megadeth released their fastest album ("Poison was the cure" is faster than anything off their debut album, right?), and even Necrophobic released one of their first demos, foreshadowing black/death metal

One of the best years in metal history! For me the pinnacle of both death and thrash metal. Here's my list for 1990: 1. Judas Priest - Painkiller 2. Megadeth - Rust In Peace 3. Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss 4. Bathory - Hammerheart 5. Entombed - Left Hand Path 6. Obituary - Cause Of Death 7. Sanctuary - Into The Mirror Black 8. Pantera - Cowboys From Hell 9. Death - Spiritual Healing 10. Artillery - By Inheritance 11. King Diamond - The Eye 12. Iced Earth - Iced Earth 13. Riot - The Privilege Of Power 14. Annihilator - Never, Neverland 15. Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption
