Top Metal Albums Each Year I Have Been Alive 2000
A little list series where I list my top 20 favorite metal albums every year starting from the year I was born in.
2000 was a pretty solid year especially for progressive metal, Symphonic metal and power metal, also pretty good year for death metal. This also was the year I started to listen to metal music thanks to those iconic linkin park singles (RIP Chester Bennington).

A decent year for metal, not much more. Sandwiched between much better years. I thus only have a couple of highlights worth mentioning -- upper 7s included. Back at that time I was convinced metal was dead and that I would never return to its remains from the 80s and 90s.  What a dumbass I was. Thumbs up for Awaking the Centuries on top of your list, such a great album. 1. In Flames - Clayman 2. Saturnus - Martyre 3. Nevermore - Dead Heart In A Dead World 4. I agree this is not one of the most memorable years in in metal, a few very good album's, but not that many classics. Here's my list: 1. Saturnus - Martyre 2. Quo Vadis - Day Into Night 3.
