You know the drill. Here's some rather fine sounding Cthulhu driven death metal that's not due for release until 2013, with extraordinarily beautiful cover artwork (check out the detail in the full image):

Everyone give up writing music. Sell your instruments, stop your lease on your jam room. Just quit.

You'll never be as good as this, so why bother?

Seriously. Holy Shit.

This is good, like really damn good,, but not as good as you're making it out to be (unless you're overhyping to get people to check it out... in which case you've succeeded). Fantastic for the most part, but drags on a little bit at some parts.

I think it's amazing, like par with Deafheaven.

Definitely sounds like Deafheaven, just a bit worse
I gave it an 8.3 on my list which seems fair. It might go up in time or it might go down, either way it will most likely be getting a lot more play time from me.

It's Deafheaven without the shoegaze bullshit.

I'd give it a 9, but that's a 9.4 or 9.5. Really solid stuff.

Vocals are better too, slightly dsbm, and full of pure hatred.

New death metal band featuring Tim Lambesis (As I Lay Dying) and Ryan Glisan (Allegaeon). Really solid catchy death metal (as might be expected from a collaboration between a member of As I Lay Dying and Allegaeon), has very good melodies, hooks and a good bit of technicality (but not quite as technical sounding as Allegaeon so also not over the top). Very surprised with Tim's vocal performance, I started listening to this song not even knowing who the vocalist was and then I looked into the band more is when I discovered it was Tim fucking Lambesis, not that I have a problem with him as a vocalist because I do actually like him as a vocalist in both AiLD and Austrian Death Machine but I was still very surprised (and happy) to learn that was him and that he is doing something other than his normal metalcore stuff.

One-man Atmospheric Folk metal. This is instrumental-only, but he said in the future he intends to include vocals. Promising demo.

Right down to the bottom, you have the play button. If you hover your mouse over it you should see a soundcloud like player appear. Magic I tell ya!

New album "Entrench" by KEN Mode. Nice post-hardcorish sludge metal with noise rock thrown in the mix. You can listen to it at Pitchfork.

Their label (Avantgarde Music) described it as "a funereal combination of Darkspace, Blut Aus Nord and some Deathspell Omega". I would say it has more of (old) DSO than the rest.
So yeah... Pretty decent dissonant black metal from, yeah... France!

I can't find any post of yours if I search by the name though... I'm thinking of buying it from the avantgarde music shop since it's not too expensive (plus, Sun Of The Blind for only 5 euro aw yeah).
