In my review of Shadow Of Intent's Melancholy, I called myself a hypocrite for complaining that the most popular deathcore release of the year was a cheesy symphonic one, while it also being the only one that I review. So fuck it, I'm reviewing another one. And you know what, I like it more than Melancholy.

This is definitely my album of the year. The singles ended up being some of the weakest songs on the album. It's probably their lightest album ever but it commits even harder to the bleak atmosphere and pessimistic political focus. Riffs are more prevalent than ever. There are a lot more cleans, but it's often layered with growls (a personal favorite), and it sounds great in every song except the title track. The pacing of this album is fantastic. It cycles through lighter and heavier moments, but it's all done in such a way that never sounds dull or repetitive. Most of the breakdowns have a lot of buildup. Unlike Shadow Of Intent's release, this album got better and better with every listen.

My favorite songs are "No Man Is Without Fear" and "Your Pain Is Mine", both have incredible choruses and monstrous endings. Some other fantastic tracks are the more melodic tracks "Birds Of Prey" and "Napalm Dreams".

Overwatcher, MS Xena, crumbled him in no time. MS needs you to kill the boredom in here.

I’m very picky when it comes to deathcore, but this album slaps. More than just breakdowns and guitar wankery.

Discovered them this year with this album. Definitely a great album, with strong gothenburg/melodeath influence (which is probably why I love it that much). First five tracks are absolutely stellar, and the ending two as well. The rest of the tracks are a bit weaker but nothing short than "very good".

Gojira influenced deathcore. Some really good songs here especially the song napalm dreams.

I was going to give it a 6 because it's really boring. But it's pretty good for the genre. It's probably their best album.

For me, this is one of those albums that's a 10. It sticks with me, I come back to it regularly and I couldn't tell you a thing wrong with it unless I really really gave it some thought.
