I'd say there are three types of live albums. The first is the usual performance (or compilation of performances) from the last tour where the band plays the hits. Then there is the rarer performance where the band plays an entire record in full. And then there is the even more special performance where the band commissions new material or completely reinterprets old one. Ulver seem to dabble a lot in the latter lately. Read more ›› |
