Ah... back when Queensryche knew how to pen some classic tunes... *sighs* This EP is amazing.

Yep, this was a time back when Queensryche wrote "music" (unlike that pile of shit that was released last year). Very strong EP.

I think this is one of the best metal EP's in history, if not the best.

Powerful stuff. The band sounds so different here than on some of the later albums, in a good way that is. I can't deny that some of their prog isn't good, but I would personally prefer if the band had continued on USPM path. IMO the genre would have benefited so much from a band/albums like this.

maybe not, but 80s Queensryche getting a 6? that's a tad too much
but than again Qr's debut got a 5 from him; I've got one of those wtf moments.

The title track is one of the songs (along with "Thundersteel", "The Burning Of Rome" etc.), that just screams out metal! "it belongs to the queen of the REEEEEICH!!". The rest of the tracks are pretty damn good as well though not as memorable as the opening track.

Listened to the remastered edition with the live tracks from 1984 in Tokio, Japan. Sounds like they used to present killer shows back in the day.

One of the best metal EP's ever. Even in their infant years Queensrÿche were the best, the first track especially frigging kills. Judging by the bonus live tracks on the remastered version they were one helluva live performers even then.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like!
