Damn, bro. Has it really been 6 years since the last Goatwhore album? Hope it's better than Vengeful Ascension, but from the sound of the new song, seems like the break worked for them.

I really like VA. Loved that blackened rock n roll shtick they pulled out of the bag. Excited to hear where they go next and for some UK live dates.

Some good songs but I got bored like halfway through the record and it turned into a slog.

I suppose it's alright as a one off listen, there's a solid tempo, some decent riffs and blasphemous lyrics, but for me there's nothing exactly memorable about it other than the title track and the closing track, and the songwriting is very generic.

Yall are tripping. The shit shreds. Couple of weak songs and can’t catch up with their previous high points like BftM or Constricting Rage but there’s so many good riffs and solos that I just don’t care. Seems like they matured ever so slightly in the lyrics department as well which is nice.

And I Was Delivered From The Wound Of Perdition is also an epic as fuck closer.

Big fan of the first half of the album as well as the last track. They probably should have cut three tracks from the last half of the album, but I'd still give it an 8.5 as the good tracks are fantastic. The production is great as well. So many good guitar riffs here. I wasn't their biggest fan but damn, this release may have me revisit some of their other material.
