The guitar sound is amazing. The vocals are not good, but I heard the singer is unfortunately impaired. It's a shame because you'd really like to hear something on top of the music. The songwriting is typical Dokken, good if you're not already fed up with glam tropes.

First album since 2012,but how came new guitar players write better music and songs as Gorge Lynch and his Lynch Mob? Don deliver good vocals almost as in 80s. Good written songs and songs, I am amazed whit how awesome this is.

Their guitarist Jon Levin has been with Dokken since 2003.

To me first 2 songs as close to 80s as it can be for 700 years old singer.

Agree with first comment. The guitar sound is really crisp. Love it. Dokkens voice is what it is, he always starts verses and choruses at his highest pitch and goes down from there, makes the songs have a sadness about them... but it's been like that for a while with Dokken. Overall i'm happy with this album, already three listens and feel there will be a fourth one soon.

I find it encouraging that he still continues despite of all health problems through the years.

Yes, finally Dokken album that I can listen with some kind of approbate.
