Also forgot to mention, but new Seven Impale album is coming out in may 26. Fingers crossed it's good. Contrapasso was a huge quality step down from City of the Sun.

I'm listening to Contrapasso now, very good album, I don't know how this can be called "a huge quality step down".

Well, I didn't say it's a bad album. Actually I like it quite a bit, it's just that City of the Sun felt more stylistically coherent as a whole. Contrapasso is tryharding with those avant-prog influences and massive scope, but it doesn't feel that they have reached what they are aiming for. I think the direction they have taken is interesting and I refuse to believe that Contrapasso is the best thing you can come up with in this style. Summit is coming out today, I'll probably relisten their discography for it, and perhaps I'll give my more detailed opinion on both it and Cotrapasso, if you are interested.

I'll definitely listen to the new album.
Thanks for explaining. Their music has a VDGG feel to it, which I enjoy quite a bit.

Yeah Anubis Gate was good. A return to form for them imo.
