Well, there are plenty of Death Metal bands releasing new material this year, most of them attack your ears with a very weak formula of generic metal, nothing new and nothing quite good?nothing ridiculously bad either, just average tunes with average shit. Sordid jumped higher; their album is still not groundbreaking and will not rename the genre, but it's quite fucking good. "Valley Of Punishment" comes with an incredible pack of catchy and brutal riffs, a very good collection actually. The music defines itself as Death Metal, it has a lot of influenced tones here and there, but nothing actually "Borrowed", the music itself sounds really fresh and even original...that's saying something.
