I expected some good symphynic progressive metal, but instead got an average and cookie-cutter early 2000's power metal album. Maybe this thing was more on point when it was new, but these days it's just boring and done to death. The whole album sounds incredibly stale to me.

This is more power metal than it is progressive metal (if i may say so). My problem is that the album is too long, maximum amount that can fit a CD. Many bands made this mistake those days.
