I'm sure a lot of people think of Aquilus as a one hit wonder and for a solid decade after Griseus this little EP was the only other morsel that could be added to the meal. While Arbor might not be as grand or expansive as the albums that followed, I find it more potent because there is plenty of mystery and doom within a shorter runtime. This EP isn't lacking in writing or atmosphere and everything is presented in a much more digestible way which makes me come back to it more often than the albums. It might be the best place to start if someone hasn't heard the band before.
