I had a skim and it sounds way more consistent than the last EP, which was frankly all over the place in quality.

Gonna listen to this later today. I'm with Mahdi in saying that the last EP was very good, although I see where Joe is coming from in saying that it was inconsistent in quality (I just happened to like everything they did on it). Regardless I'm pretty certain I will enjoy this.

It was pretty much just that one song that got in the way. This sounds very cohesive as a whole though.

Well that probably stems from it just being one 25 minute song. And in regards to the last EP, was it the third song you didn't like (Apparition)? Because that was the Meshuggah-esque one so I understand that.
Edit: Nevermind the first song on the last ep was the Meshuggah-esque one. Everyone can make fun of me now.

Wow they've really strayed quite far from what the debut sounded like. I'm finishing up the EP right now, and I'm surprised at how relaxing it was. I can't really say I hear any death metal in it, so I'm thinking the genre tag needs some changing. At any rate it's quite enjoyable, but not at all what I was expecting. I was going to make a comparison to the previous EP to gauge quality, but I don't really think it's worth doing given how different they are. Very pleasant listen, and I'm hoping Owl come back soon with another full length (preferably one that isn't marred by an unnecessarily long ambient closer) that is full of experimentation.

Really nice. Big, spacious sound with lots of swirling ambience. Nice heavy but not overwhelming guitars that are almost drone doom at points, and there's also a nice indsutrial-esque bit in the middle. Vocals are nice too. Remind of something off a Jesu record a bit (and musically too). Like it. I guess it sort of feels like a big cross section of something bigger though.

Fuck. Didn't expect this one to be so alien and bizar. Owl seems to be a band that gets better with every new record. He has understood the essence of integrating ambiance into metal textures rather than putting a pointless boring ambient track at the end. Eerie , yet relaxing. I would also like to mention how much I loved the vocals, reminds of those used on Cosmosophy, only better implemented. With all being said, I feel unsatisfied at the end, as it is too short, which could be compliance rather than complain. Hope that he will make a full album with this sort of sound.

Yeah this pretty much sums up the improvements quite well. This is probably my favorite Owl release, although I don't seem to love it quite as much as you or Joe

It gives me the same image I had when I first heard Atonal Hypermensia combined with The Feral Wisdom Don't know why tbh. The fact that I had not heard anything quiet like it before also makes me go back to it constantly since yesterday.
