What a fucking waste of time and energy

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would but I went into not expecting too much and knowing that it's all about having a good time. Finsterforst brings their A game and musically this album is executed very well. Not all of it is enjoyable, but there is a level of inspiration and dedication, especially in the cover songs, that is sorely missed with most of the metal scene today. All of the cover songs are performed pretty respectably even when it comes to Wrecking Ball both in terms of the original versions and in terms of making them a Finsterforst song. They really show off their versatility and talent with this release. Even if you can't get past the theme, there's good stuff in here.

Auf Die Zwölf, #YØLØ, Hangover, Beat It, and Das Schlimmste Ist Wenn Das Bier Alle Ist are all solid.

Disappointed.
I thought they would play their the cover songs on their style, but they switched everything and tried to follow the same line of the actual songs... there's not really much point into just re-creating the song

Exactly my feeling. What's the point indeed. Beat it is in any case the only good song to start with, all the other covers are from really lame songs and they are not better here. They should just have done an EP with the first three and the last song (also the Pogues version of Wild Rover is still superior).
