Of course any metal lover knows this, still I think it should have a nice review by the staff. Not mine or any guest review.

Progressive album !!!

"one of biggest masterpieces of metal" - hell yeah

I did NOT expect to like this. It's very captivating: melodic, groovy, and eerie Masterpiece.

Is there any other Samael album on the same level as this one or Ceremony?

Personally I prefer Worship Him and Blood Ritual to this, although Ceremony... is kind of their crowning achievement before they got into the more electronic stuff. I'm also that one person who thinks Above is a pretty good album too.

I like Above too. I got Blood Ritual for some months ago and found it a bit boring. I think it was just too midpaced. Good songs though but listening to the whole album got a bit boring.

Ya, it lacks variation so I can understand how some might find it boring, but I like the sound so the consistency for me is better than if they changed up their style too much between songs.

You're so lucky as you only took 8 years to rediscover this album !
My neighbour was playing this album when I was 3 years old, my family moved to other state when I was 4. When I was 50 years old I went back to visit my neighbour, they told me the album they played 47 years ago was Samael-Passage.
Thanks neighbour !

Fresh and brave for its time. I still prefer "Eternal", but without "Passage" it would have been impossible.
