Vibeke Stene (pronounced vih-beh-kie) is a Norwegian female singer. She is most often recognized as the former vocalist of the gothic metal band Tristania. She joined the band shortly before they started recording their self-titled demo. At first she was meant to be only an additional singer, but later on she joined the band permanently.
Stene's singing has become well known to fans of gothic metal, mostly throughout Europe, mainly because her vocals maintain a distinctive quality.
On February 27, 2007, Stene left Tristania due to personal reasons. She stated that the reason was she wanted to pursue a long-held dream of hers; to teach singing.
