Yes it was Bombardier at the time, now Alstom. I worked there and was laid off just before Christmas in 2019.

This situation is absurd to me. This company builds trains in Canada, and lost a contract for a Canadian city to China. It's so frustrating.

I can't complain right now, as I'm on a union contract and the union negotiates periodic raises but looking at society overall, capitalism fucks people left and right.

We're fully at eye-level there. Companies have largely not owned up to their responsibility to pay people according to their cost of living.
