Somnus Aeternus - Debut Album Streaming Online
On The Shores Of Oblivion, the debut album from Czech doom/death metallers Somnus Aeternus will be streaming exclusively via Mortem Zine for a week. The album has come out on August 31st, and will be available on their Bandcamp as a digital download or on CD directly from the band. It was released under Solitude Productions.

Kylesa - Releasing Rarities Compilation
While we wait for a new Kylesa album set for 2013, we will have a new compilation to entertain ourselves with. The sludge band is going to release From The Vaults, Vol. 1, a twelve-song collection featuring unreleased and alternate versions of songs spanning their catalogue including their cover of Pink Floyd's "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun" on November 16th in Europe (November 20 in North America) through Season Of Mist. Shean Beaudry created the artwork.

Soilwork - To Enter Studio Tomorrow
Swedish melodic metallers Soilwork will enter the studio on August 23rd to begin recording the follow-up to their 2010 release The Panic Broadcast. The album will be produced by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth, Bloodbath). The new album, entitled The Living Infinite, will also mark the recording debut of long-time touring guitarist David Andersson.

Scythia - New EP Coming In September, Preview Online
Canadian folk metallers Scythia have announced some details regarding their upcoming release. It will be a 7-track EP called For The Bear and features the re-recording of three Scythia tracks from the first album ...Of War, two new songs and two covers. One of the covers is of a Quebecois folk song called "Mattawa Reel" and the other is a video game medley featuring fantasy video game snippets that span the last 20 years of history. "Ashes", a brand new song from US black metal trio Tombs is now available for streaming at this location. The song is featured on the Decibel's Flexi Series and also on the bonus flexi-disc of the October 2012 Issue of Decibel Magazine. Swedish death metal horde Vomitory have been busy on tour but the band has now checked in to let us know what they have been up to, including news about a new record. The band stated: "It's been a while since our last news update at vomitory.net, but we have been quite active during the summer nonetheless. We experienced two absolutely fantastic shows at Hellfest, France in June and at Obscene Extreme in the Czech Republic.
