Amorphis - To Tour N. America With Swallow The Sun

The Finns Amorphis are joining forces with fellow countrymen Swallow The Sun for a trek in North America next year. The masters of melancholic progressive metal Amorphis will return to North America next March/April for a long overdue headlining tour. Support will come from melodic doom/death merchants Swallow The Sun. The band will also appear on select dates with thrash legends Overkill and Egyptian themed technical death metal champions Nile.

Swallow The Sun - Dubai Show Cancelled Due To 'Devil Worshiping'

News just in: Finnish metallers Swallow The Sun were revoked from playing at their upcoming Dubai concert (February 12th) by the local authorities, says label Metal East Records. This comes after the band were accused that their concert in Dubai would be "promoting devil-worshiping". Just last year, Aborted's show in Dubai was also shut down.

Doom Over London - Swallow The Sun, 40 Watt Sun, Lord Vicar And More Confirmed

The Doom Over London organizers have revealed the latest additions to this year's line-up, their sixth edition. Swallow The Sun, Hooded Menace, 40 Watt Sun, Pantheist, King Goat, Esoteric, Lord Vicar, Mourning Dawn and Undergang will join the doom party in England this March.

Swallow The Sun - Debut 'Rooms And Shadows' Video

Melodic doom masters Swallow The Sun have just released their eagerly awaited new triple full-length album, Songs From The North I, II & III. To celebrate the album's release, the Finnish band also launched a brand-new video for the song "Rooms And Shadows", taken from part 1 of the record. Swallow The Sun - Premiere Lyric Video

"Abandoned By The Light" is the new lyric video from Swallow The Sun. The track is taken from the upcoming three-parts album, Songs From The North I, II & III. The 9-minute song is part of the third part of the album described as funeral doom metal as opposed to the melodic doom of the first one and the acoustic second one. Swallow The Sun - Kai Hahto Steps Down, Replacement Announced

Swallow The Sun have announced that drummer Kai Hahto is stepping down from the band. While neither the Finnish band nor Kai Hahto say he is leaving the band, Juuso Raatikainen has been announced as the band's new official drummer. You might remember that Kai Hahto is working with Nightwish on their upcoming album as Jukka Nevalainen will take a break due to health issues. The music for the new Swallow The Sun album is ready and they promise something big for their next release.

Swallow The Sun - 'The Morning Never Came' Anniversary Tour

The Finns Swallow The Sun unleashed their first melancholic death doom metal album The Morning Never Came in 2003. This debut opus is an absolute fan favorite and the band will be doing an anniversary tour exactly ten years after its release. Swallow The Sun will play The Morning Never Came entirely on all dates plus a whole bunch of other classic tracks. Supporting Swallow The Sun on this tour will be British group Antimatter and Italian goth doomers The Foreshadowing.
