Drakkar - Unveil New Album Details

Italian power metal band Drakkar will release their new album, entitled When Lightning Strikes, in a deluxe digipak edition on January 16th via My Kingdom Music. The album has been recorded and mixed at Elnor Studio by Mattia Stanciou (Labyrinth, Crown Of Autumn) and mastered at House Of Audio/Hofa by Jürgen Lusky (Angra, Pink Cream 69).

Enthroned - Enter Studio Next Week, Part Ways With Regain Records

Belgian black metal outfit Enthroned are set to enter the studio next week to begin recording their ninth and yet-untitled album.

The band posted the following on their MySpace: "Enthroned will start the recording of their ninth studio album next week. The opus will be once more recorded at the Blackout Multimedia Studios (the band's own recording studio)."

Journey - New Compilation In November, Details Revealed

Greatest Hits Vol. 2, a brand-new collection of original recordings by the mega-platinum band Journey, will be available as a single CD, digital download, and special gatefold double-vinyl edition (which includes a code for a free digital download of the vinyl remastered album), starting November 1st.

This new package from Columbia/Legacy, spans singles and album tracks recorded between 1978 and 1996.

1349 - To Release First-Ever Live DVD, Details Revealed

Norwegian black metal outfit 1349 are set to release their first-ever live DVD, entitled Hellvetia Fire - The Official 1349 Bootleg, on the 24th of October through Candlelight Records.

The DVD was filmed live at the Bikini Test Club in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland on November 12, 2005. It also features a special live appearance from Tom Fischer (Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Triptykon).

Immolation - To Release Anniversary EP

Scion A/V has announced the release of a new five-track digital EP and music video from Yonkers, New York-based death metal veterans Immolation.

Providence will be available as a free download via Scion A/V. The EP will also be distributed for free in CD and vinyl formats at shows during the Immolation North American tour 2011 and at select Scion partner retail locations.

Behemoth - New Video Online

Blackened death Polish monsters Behemoth have released the video for "Lucifer" off of their 2009 effort Evangelion. Head over to this location to watch the uncensored version and below for the censored version. "Lucifer" is the final track off the aforementioned album and clocks in at over eight minutes long, and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in Behemoth's vast catalogue. The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland, and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk.
