Ozzy Osbourne Discusses About The Possibility Of A Black Sabbath Reunion!

Last week Ozzy Osbourne stopped by the Rolling Stone offices to discuss his new album "Scream", his forthcoming world tour, the death of Ronnie James Dio and the possibility of a BLACK SABBATH reunion. "I love those guys ? Bill , Tony and Geezer ," he told Rolling Stone about a possible return to SABBATH. "I never say never anymore because you never know what's going to come around."

"I'm willing," Osbourne added. "But there are three other guys as well. It goes backwards and forwards. One day this, one day that. I'm up for it. But we'll see. If it's meant to happen, it'll happen."

Osbourne did admit that the prospect of the reunion is a little daunting. "The pressure of doing a new Black Sabbath album is enormous, and for it to be as good as what we did back then," he said. "It's been 30 years since we actually sat down and tried to write together, and we've all changed so much. I know I have."

Osbourne told VH1 Radio Networks' Dave Basner last week that the chances of another reunion of the original Black Sabbath seem more remote with each passing day. Ozzy explained, "To be honest, I don't think we all can physically do it. I'm up for it, I keep fit every day. I can't speak for the others. I mean, I've spoken to Tony Iommi, I speak to Bill from time to time. I haven't spoken to Geezer for a while, but if it's meant to happen, it'll happen."

Butler recently released a statement via his official web site in which he made it clear that "there will be definitely NO reunion of all four original members of Black Sabbath, whether to record an album or to tour."

Although Ozzy and Iommi had some legal issues in recent years over the use of the Black Sabbath name, that was all settled in 2010. Ozzy told The Pulse Of Radio at the time that he was still open to the idea of a reunion. "Well, I never say never," he said. "I mean, I've got a few ideas, but we'll see what happens, you know. We did try and do another album, but we've all changed so much and it's ? if you don't do an album that blows the doors off the last one that we did together, then it's gonna be looked upon as a joke, you know."

The original Sabbath lineup has not toured together since the summer of 2005, and last convened for their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in early 2006.

Fleshgod Apocalypse - Sign To Nuclear Blast Records

Italian brutal metallers Fleshgod Apocalypse have signed a worldwide deal with German record label giants Nuclear Blast Records. And now, after their tour with Suffocation and The Faceless, the band's wrapping up the last work on their upcoming, yet untitled album, which will be released by this summer around the start of the Summer Slaughter Tour.

Guitarist/Vocalist Tommaso Riccardi comments: "We're really excited to start working with such a renowned and professional label. It's a great chance for the band to express itself in the best way, counting on this kind of support. For us it's like a brand new start. We surely can improve our work, touring much more and finally reaching every continent as we always wanted to do. Many tours are already planned or on the way to being organized. We'll start with North America and Europe and then Asia/Oceania, South Africa and maybe in Central/South America. We can't wait to hit US again this July-August with the 'Summer Slaughter Tour' 2011. It's an honor for us to be on this tour and a great opportunity to play live some new tunes! See you on the road!"

Elvenking - Drummer Quits

After 12 years with the band, drummer Zender had left Elvenking. The band commented:

"We had a wonderful journey with Zender in these long 12 years. Thinking about where we started together back in the time and what we have achieved along the path it really looks incredible. We were a bunch of kids when we started together with nothing but a dream, and now we are here. We cannot feel anything but proud and we are sure Zender feels exactly the same. Being in a band like Elvenking it is not the easiest thing in the world, since you are not that big to live out of your passion, but you're big enough to have a lot of stress, busy days, lots of things to do and manage, long travels, flights, etc etc. The split has been in total friendship and with no bad blood at all. Zender came to visit the band in the rehearsal room also the other day to share some words and drinks together. All Elvenking members, crew and friends wish Zender all the best possible for his future and we're sure our roads will cross again sooner or later"

"The ones of you who have seen Elvenking live during the Tides Over Europe tour dates have already known and experienced a new strange and mysterious character on drums, named Symohn. He is sitting behind the drumkit for all next live dates so you need to check his ability behind the kit out on the next gigs! Be sure to not miss 'em!"

Patrick Roy Passed Away

Patrick Roy died today, because of his pancreatic cancer.

He was a French politician, member of the National Assembly, and a member of the French Socialist Party (left-wing), known among other things for his bright red jacket.

But, more importantly for us metalheads, he was a fan of heavy metal (starting with Led Zeppellin, but now leaning more towards Gojira and Opeth), which he defended on various occasions during the debates concerning the Hadopi law or the controversy about the Hellfest festival. You can check this DailyMotion video, but it's only in French, sorry. He often had a Rock Hard magizine in hand to prove his point, saying it was a cultural magazine (at that time, his right-wing opponents would cry and boo in outrage, of course).

And, as if defending Metal at the National Assembly wasn't enough, he was also the main promoter and programmer of the Metallurgicales festival in Denain, a French city of which he was the mayor. On 5 June 2010 he joined the French metal band Mass Hysteria on stage during the 2010 edition of the festival:

In November 2010, he revealed that he suffers a digestive cancer. In February 2011 he announced that he will come back to the National Assembly on March 15th and he did it, thanking the other congresswomen and congressmen for their support. Sadly, it wasn't enough, as he passed away last night.

Thanks for all you've done for our, for your music. You'll be sorely missed.
