Sabaton - First Four Albums To Be Re-Released

Official press release

Do you wonder what Sabaton did in the studio about 1 month ago? Link]
Do you wonder why Primo Victoria, Attero Dominatus, Metalizer and Art of War is so hard to get these days?

This is why...

To be able to continue to do what we all love, meaning to continue to play music and to tour the world, we have now purchased the rights to the Sabaton music. And to celebrate this we want to make them available again to all of you in a unique cooperation between Sabaton, Nuclear Blast and Black Lodge.

Now what does this mean?

Well, first it means that when you buy a Sabaton album, more of the money spent on the albums will actually go to Sabaton and second it means that we want to celebrate this by making the first four albums available again, but in really cool new versions! We give you... The Sabaton Re-Armed Editions and here is a sample of one bonus track.

The 4 first original albums of Sabaton, complete with new artwork, new booklets, posters and of course: New music! We have digged deep into the treasury of Sabaton to find unique, strange, funny and unexpected songs. Every album on the Re-Armed editions will feature new tracks and they will include some old demos, some coversongs, some live versions of songs, some really old and unheard songs and some completely new songs recorded in Studio Abyss. They will all be re-released on the 24th of September & can from today be pre-ordered right here!

Krypteria - New Album Update

German metallers Krypteria have issued the following update on their MySpace blog:

"Krypteria have been and still are busy working on their new album which is scheduled for release in spring 2011.

Drummer S.C. Kuschnerus checks in from the recording studio: "So far we have written and pre-recorded about a dozen of new songs. When all is said and done we'll probably have to choose the best combination of tracks from a pool of over twenty worthy candidates.

As usual everybody in this band contributes to the songwriting with tons of creative musical ideas. Only this time around Ji-In, Chris, Frank and I have made it a point of emphasis to be way more experimental than before, to break all programmatic chains so to speak. This definitely resulted in a much broader and, I think, wilder stylistic scope."

"At the end of the day our fans will receive an album that might catch them off guard somewhat but will nevertheless feature all the Krypterian trademarks that are near and dear to their hearts", quips an excited Kuschnerus. "The enormous anticipation we feel inside ourselves only adds extra fuel to our artistic fire."

Krypteria's new album will be unleashed in spring of 2011. However, the band will return to the live circuit as early as October 23rd with their second ever performance at the Metal Female Voices Fest in Belgium. This will be followed by a tour in December which will be announced later in September."

Lifelover - Sign With Prophecy Productions

Official press release

Lifelover have signed a long-term contract with Prophecy Productions. Our forth album is scheduled for release in early 2011.

This is what is stated by Prophecy Productions: "With their three full-length albums Pulver (2006), Erotik (2007), and Konkurs (2008), as well as the Dekadens EP (2009), Lifelover have established themselves as one of the most eccentric and notorious bands on the scene in the last few years. The Swedes' unconventional music, their cynical image, and their chaotic live performances have had an extremely polarizing effect. After several changes of labels, Lifelover have now found a partner for a close, long-term collaboration: they have signed a contract with Prophecy Productions over four albums.

Lifelover founding members B aka Nattdal and Kim "( )" Carlsson consider the signing of the contract with Prophecy a logical step for their band: "We always strive to evolve with each effort that we pursue as a band. Signing to Prophecy feels like a good progression for us, and we look forward to work with a label for the first time with consecutive releases."

A new album by Lifelover is scheduled for release in 2011.

Swedish metallers Grave have issued the following update on their MySpace blog:

"We would like this to get official before too many rumors start. Grave has parted ways with bassplayer Fredrik Isaksson due to personal reasons and issues. Fredrik played his last show with us in late July at the Eisenwahn festival in Germany. There is no bad blood between us and we thank him for all the years with Grave and wish him luck with whatever he may do in the future..
Cheers!

His immediate replacement is Tobias Cristiansson picture] (Dismember) who already did a couple of gigs with us the past weeks in Colombia and Finland. Therion - Live Shows Cancelled

Official press release

The tour schedule has changed: The shows in Caracas (Venezuela), Chihuahua and Puebla (both Mexico) have to be cancelled and the show in Santiago de Chile has moved to the Teatro Caupolican. In Europe there will be an additional show - on the 11th of December Therion will play in Istanbul, at Refresh the Venue (which is really named like that).

The following message is from Christofer: "We are very sad to announce that the shows in Chihuahua and Puebla in Mexico have been cancelled. The situation with the drug cartels is becoming worse and worse in the north and the local authorities strongly advise against playing concerts in Chihuahua (and of course Monterray which also has been rumoured we would be playing), so the national promoter in Mexico has decided to cancel Chihuahua as the safety of the band, crew and fans cannot be guaranteed at this point. The Puebla festival has also been cancelled due to some sort of drug cartel related civil unrest problems.
There seems to be no risk for the remaining shows in Mexico and the band hope that there will be other shows to replace the cancelled ones in other parts of the country.

Seems like the world is going crazy at the moment, as the Caracas show in Venezuela will be cancelled as well. Local promoter is having economic problems and didn't want to risk fucking everything up from what I've heard. So better to cancel and try to replace it with another show in some other country than to risk standing there with thousands of fans buying tickets and maybe making a long journey from another city just to end up with no show happening. We hope we will be able to do Venezuela some time in the future, we were really looking forward to playing there."

King's X - DVD Release Date Revealed

Official press release

International music critics and rock gourmets agree: King's X is among the most unusual acts in the history of rock music. Their technical skills are above reproach, and their creativity has impressed fans and media alike. Next to Rush, there is currently no other rock trio capable of producing such a dense and at the same time transparent sound. The much anticipated double CD/DVD set, Live Love In London, showcases prime examples of King's X's incredible live show of classic groove rock featuring great melodies with vocal harmonies, driving rhythms and tough guitars. The album is set for an Oct. 26th release through InsideOut Music and will be available as a deluxe DVD+2CD edition in a special embossed package, as well as a 2CD set. A standard DVD-only version will also be available exclusively through CMDistro.com.
Live Love In London is the first official DVD release by a band renowned for just such a transcendent rock show! The King's X trio of Ty Tabor (guitars, vocals), Dug Pinnick (bass, vocals) and Jerry Gaskill (drums, vocals) have spanned continents and decades together, honing their craft, welcoming their fans in to experience inspired performances that come from their hearts.

Live Love In London was shot in January of 2009 at the Electric Ballroom in London, UK, because, as Tabor states, "London was the first place that accepted King's X. It has always been my favorite place to play." Pinnick recalls, "We were touring the US, playing for very small crowds, then we went to London; it was the Marquee and it was sold out!" Gaskill agrees, "London was the first place to make me feel like we might actually be a valid band."
The band are also extremely excited to embark on a co-headlining run with metal legends Accept, which kicks off on Sept. 23rd. The dates of which can be viewed at this location.
