Next week Folk/Power Metallers Elvenking will fly to Germany to Gernhart studios to record the drums for the band's next album. All the drum parts have been checked and everything's ready for recording. "Zender is hitting as hell and the groove is already there!" says the band. Elvenking will stay in Germany until the drumming is completed, and from there travel back to Italy to work on the last arrangements and lyrics. After that Nino Laurenne of Sonic Pump studios will set the basic sounds of the album and the other recording sessions will start.

Elvenking also says that they'll give updates as often as they can, with studio reports, pictures from their recording sessions as well as videos.

Here is a comment by guitarist Aydan: "What can I tell about the songs? One word: heavy!!! Be ready for the most
crushing Elvenking album to date, but with all the melody still there".

Sinner ? the German band featuring Primal Fear bassist Mat Sinner, his Fear bandmate Tom Naumann (guitars), Frank Rössler (keyboards), and former Primal Fear drummer Klaus Sperling ? has announced the addition of second guitarist Christof Leim of The Traceelords to the group's ranks.

Commented the band: "Welcome, Christof. We're proud to have you on board and let's have some metal and fun in the future!"

Leim performed with Sinner during the band's October 7 appearance in Reichenbach, Germany alongside Primal Fear, Chinchilla and Targa.

Sinner is currently at Leon studio near Stuttgart with the engineering team of Achim Köhler and Samson Geiger mixing its new album, entitled "Mask of Sanity", for a January 19, 2007 release through MTM Music.

Norway's Trail Of Tears will release its fifth album, "Existentia", in the U.S. on January 30 via Napalm Records (one day earlier internationally). The CD was recorded at Soundsuite Studio in Marseille, France with producer Terje Refsnes and includes contributions from French female singer Emmanuelle Zoldan and Norwegian keyboard master Bernt Moen. On December 13th, Sweden's Dream Evil will make their first US performance, when they headline the Century Family's Third Annual Christmas Balls show at The Key Club in Hollywood, CA. Tickets are on sale now. More performances will be announced in the coming weeks.

Decrepit Birth comment, "Fuck... just got the news from UL, the January European tour has been cancelled. The booking company called off the tour due to the fact that dates were not getting finalized and time was running out. I'm really bummed, we were getting ready... and I guess we won't be there for a while, probably 'till we finish recording our next CD. well, gives us more time to really focus on the new album... Finnish viking metallers Moonsorrow have posted the cover artwork for their new album, "V: Hävitetty", at this location (artwork created by Travis Smith). The CD is scheduled for release on January 10, 2007 via Spikefarm Records.

A new video by Thrashers Machine Head has been posted online. The video is of the band playing a new song of theirs at the Sounds Of The Underground tour. The song is called 'Aesthetics Of Hate' and will appear on the band's upcoming album 'The Blackening'. This was the song's live debut, and the whole thing was captured on film and is now available for download.

In other Machine Head news, the band's very first album 'Burn My Eyes' which was released in 1994, is going to be re-released. The re-release was originally going to be released in January next year, but so as to not clash with the release of The Blackening, it now has the date of September 2007. The re-release will contain the original album, plus the band's cover of 'Alan's On Fire', two remixes, two live tracks, as well as some rare demos.
