Tool - Announce October Mini-Tour

Tool will be embarking on a mini-tour this October 2016. They have announced three headlining shows - in Denver, Salt Lake City, and Little Rock - as well as festival appearances. The progressive metallers will perform at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 2016 in New Orleans and they will also headline the 2016 Monster Energy Aftershock Festival in Sacramento's Discovery Park.

Saint Vitus - Announce U.S. Tour, Scott Reagers Fronting

Sinsaenum - New Band Feat. Joey Jordison, Attila Csihar, Frédéric Leclercq

Drummer Joey Jordison is keeping himself very busy these days. After announcing his new band Vimic, a new band featuring the former Slipknot drummer has launched. This one is called Sinsaenum and also features Frédéric Leclercq (DragonForce) on guitar, bass, synth, vocals, guitarist Stephane Buriez (Loudblast), vocalists Sean Zatorsky (Dååth and ex-Chimaira) and Attila Csihar (Mayhem) and Heimoth (Seth) on bass. Their self-titled EP is out now and contains 2 songs: "Death Is The Beginning" (exclusive track) and "The Forgotten One" (from the forthcoming album Echoes Of The Tortured).

Corrosion Of Conformity - Reed Mullin Suffers Alcohol Related Seizure

Metallers Corrosion Of Conformity are currently touring with Lamb Of God and Clutch but it looks like drummer Reed Mullin won't make it until the end of the tour. He suffered an alcohol-related seizure in Edmonton before the band's show, after a similar incident a few years ago. The band will continue the tour without him but urge him to seek treatment for his alcohol and drug dependency. Hopefully, he will do just that.

Sepultura - Police Stop Band's Show In Egypt

This weekend was eventful in terms of cancellations (Rock am Ring, Tbilisi Jam Fest) and Sepultura fans in Egypt also suffered. According to Ahram Online, Police forces stopped their show that was planned for Saturday 4th of June in Sheikh Zayed. General Ahmed Hegazy, head of the Giza Security Directorate, told them that police forces stormed into the villa and physically stopped the concert after necessary permissions for the show were not provided. This would be their first performance in Egypt.

Tbilisi Jam Fest - Orthodox Activists Shut Down Festival

Tbilisi Jam Fest in Georgia, headlined by Tiamat, has been shut down by religious fanatics. According to reports, several radical priests led several dozen ultraconservative Orthodox Christian activists on Saturday evening in an attempt to violently disrupt an open air festival on the outskirts of Georgia's capital city Tbilisi. The organizer of the event Vladimir Unanyants told a local website that 30 minutes after the concert began a group of people led by Orthodox priests appeared and tried to force the concert to shut down. Unfortunately, this is nothing new. The most recent case being Belphegor, who were attacked by a Christian Orthodox activist and forced to cancel their Russian tour.

Rock Am Ring - Lightning Strikes Again, 51 Injured, Cancelled

UPDATE: Rock am Ring in Mendig, Germany has been cancelled. While yesterday organisers were hoping the festival could continue after the lightning stuck and injured several people, they have now officially cancelled the third and final day. They say the decision was taken after more bad weather was forecast and it was necessary because the safety of fans was of paramount importance. The lightning strikes injured at least 80 fans.
