Gruesome - Reveal New EP Trailer And Details

Prepare for some gruesome death metal. Following their debut, Savage Land, U.S. unit Gruesome returns in 2016 with a new EP entitled Dimensions Of Horror. Produced by the band and co-produced and recorded by Jarrett Pritchard at New Constellation RMP Studios in Orlando, FL, the six-song EP is their salute to Death's iconic Scream Bloody Gore and once again features cover art by the legendary Ed Repka (Death, Atheist, Massacre). Amon Amarth - Announce Touring Drummer, Share New Song

Amon Amarth's Jomsviking arrives this Friday and there is another new song available online from the record. While the new album features special guest session drummer Tobias Gustafsson (Vomitory), on the live front, it will be Jocke Wallgren (Valkyrja, October Tide) accompanying the band, it has been announced. The Defiled - Call It Quits

After two albums, the latest being 2013's Daggers, The Defiled are no more. The London metallers are disbanding as it is no longer financially possible to move on. They have also cancelled the upcoming headlining shows. If they can, they will record a few final songs and do a farewell tour.

Metallica - Announce Record Store Day Live Release, Audio Sample

As Ambassadors for this year's Record Store Day celebrating independent retail, Metallica will have a special exclusive CD release, Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité, Metallica!, live at Le Bataclan, Paris, France - June 11th, 2003. Judas Priest - To Start Working On New Material

Two years after their return with Redeemer Of Souls, iconic heavy metallers Judas Priest aren't resting anytime soon. The wheels keep on turning and the plan is to start working on new song ideas soon, according to guitarist Richie Faulkner. On March 25th, the band will release the concert film and live CD Battle Cry but they are already thinking about and preparing the band's next step.

Lizzy Borden has signed a worldwide solo artist deal with Metal Blade Records - the label that helped to launch him to commercial success over 30 years ago. Sumac - Debut New Song

Prepare for some sludge metal goodness courtesy of Sumac. The band led by Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom) is about to release the follow-up to the debut album, The Deal, already. Carcass - Vocalist/Bassist Jeff Walker Breaks Foot

Currently touring with Slayer and Testament in North America, Carcass vocalist/bassist Jeff Walker broke his foot, prior to the band's March 19th concert in Seattle, Washington. However, Jeff Walker is being a trooper and will complete the tour that wraps up on March 26th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hopefully, Jeff Walker will feel better soon.

Blackmore's Night - Ritchie Blackmore Sued By Record Label

Former Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore is facing a lawsuit from the label Frontiers Music Srl, reports New York Post, over lack of promotion. According to the Italian label, he didn't promote Blackmore's Night's latest album, All Our Yesterdays, tanking sales in the process.

Rotting Christ - Share New Lyric Video

The Greek metallers Rotting Christ continue to promote their newest creation, Rituals. Today, they have released their first official lyric video for the track "For A Voice Like Thunder". Interestingly, the animation was created by Manster Design and the video also features a special guest recitation by Nick Holmes (Paradise Lost). The song lyrics are based in English poet William Blake's "Poetical Sketches - Prologue, intended for a Dramatic Piece of King Edward the Fourth."

October Tide - Share Second New Track

Swedish melodic death/doom metal experts October Tide are back with a new album to present the world. After "Sleepless Sun", there is a second new song titled "Nursed By The Cold" available for your listening pleasure here. The track comes from the band's forthcoming album Winged Waltz, which is set to be released on April 22nd via Agonia Records. According to vocalist Alexander Högbom, this song "represents the album quite well and what October Tide is all about. It breathes the coldness of Grey Dawn and mixes it with the present."
