German thrash metal veterans Tankard have entered the studio in Buchen/Odenwald to record their next album. This will be their first album for their new label Nuclear Blast and it will be produced by Michael Mainx, who said about the album: "I'm really looking forward to go on the second round with Tankard to record the songs for their 30-years anniversary album worthily and sustain the successful and direfully work together with the thrash metal veterans from Frankfurt."

Debemur Morti Productions has issued the following announcement about the delay in the release of the new album from French black metallers Blut Aus Nord: "Let's get rid of the bad news first: contrary to recently mentioned on our Facebook page, the last chapter of the '777' trilogy won't be released in May. Vindsval thinks the album isn't excellent enough and will work further on it. It is absolutely vital that 777 - Cosmosophy represents a fitting denouement to the trilogy. If all goes according to plan, it will be out at the end of September."

Southern Lord has announced a deluxe reissue of the album Dopesmoker from US stoner metallers Sleep.

The following press release was issued: "For the 2012 reissue, there are some very notable changes. The original studio tapes have been remastered presenting the album as the band had originally intended. The audio is clearer, louder, and at last brings a true representation of Sleep's hour-plus Weedian chronicle. Exclusive to this Southern Lord edition is brand new artwork by long time Sleep artist Arik Roper, to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
