Necrophobic - Two Guitarists Return, Working On New Album

Two former Necrophobic guitarists who had left the band back in 2011 are now returning to the fold: Johan Bergebäck and Sebastian Ramstedt. Meanwhile, guitarist Fredrik Folkare has been fired from the Swedish death metal unit. Back in 2013, frontman Tobias Sidegård was arrested for domestic violence and the band decided to go on without him. The follow-up to Womb Of Lilithu, their last album, is now finally seeing the light of day. The group has started to write new music and plan to record the long awaited new album during the end of 2017.

Matt Barlow - Has New Project

Singer Matt Barlow has given a first look at the press release of his new project, Sentinels, that he is working on with Jonah Weingarten (Pyramaze). He's really excited about this project and the songwriting for the record is nearly complete. The debut album should drop in 2017.

Ross The Boss - New Lineup Revealed

The new lineup of Ross The Boss, the band led by former Manowar and current Death Dealer guitarist Ross "The Boss" Friedman, will perform at the Hall Of Heavy Metal History induction ceremony on Wednesday, January 18th, 2017 at the Anaheim Expo Center in Anaheim, California. Joining Friedman in the group's incarnation are Symphony X bassist Mike LePond, former Manowar drummer Kenny "Rhino" Earl and Let Us Prey vocalist Marc Lopes.

Immortal - Begin Recording New Album In January

In the last few months, black metallers Immortal have given some updates on where they stand and their new ninth album. In a new update, the sons of northern darkness now revealed that they will begin recording the new opus in January 2017 at Abyss Studio. You can expect a new album next year and guitarist Demonaz will be handling the vocals.

Panndora - To Return In 2017

In a recent interview, Brazilian heavy metal act Panndora confirmed that the band was on hiatus. Now it seems that the hiatus is over, and the band promises to come back in 2017 in full force. We will have to wait and see but the goal is to record the follow-up to their 2011 debut The Heretic's Box.

HammerFall - Announce Change Of Drummer

Drummer David Wallin didn't stay long in Swedish melodic metallers HammerFall. He has announced that he is leaving the group in order to focus on his family life. Due to family commitments, David will not be able to do any gigs with HammerFall next year and has decided to vacate his drum stool. Johan Koleberg is the new drummer!

David Vincent & Tim Yeung - Launch I Am Morbid

Former Morbid Angel members David Vincent (vocals, bass) and Tim Yeung (drums) will join forces with guitarists Bill Hudson (TSO/Circle II Circle) and Ira Black (Metal Church/Lizzy Borden) to perform classic Morbid Angel songs under the I Am Morbid banner. You might remember that last year drummer Tim Yeung, guitarist Destructhor and David Vincent all parted ways with the band, who hasn't announced new members yet but they are working on their new album slated for a release in 2017.

The Duskfall - Lineup Changes, Recording New Album

Luleå native sons The Duskfall went through a massive line-up change after their return in 2014. Now, the band has parted ways with guitarist Ronny Edlund and announced that Jakob Björnfot will take over guitar duties.
