Yonder Realm - Confirmed For Pocono Folk Metal Fest

The up-and-coming American folk metallers Yonder Realm will be playing the first ever Pocono Folk Metal Fest (August 1st) this summer in Stroudsburg, PA, which promises to be a celebration of folk, pagan and Viking metal. The other confirmed acts in the line-up so far are Battlesoul, SIG:AR:TYR, Windfaerer, Sekengard, Winter's Wake, Norsewind, Isenmor and Animist.

Armageddon - New Permanent Singer Announced

Antony Hämäläinen has accepted the position as full-time vocalist for Armageddon. The band led by former Arch Enemy guitarist Christopher Amott had recruited Hämäläinen for their U.S. tour and it seems he has passed the test. The melodeath band is looking forward to working with him as he brings great energy to the band, both on and off stage. They also promise that they will announce new tour dates soon.

Dimmu Borgir - In Pre-Production For New Album

It has been a while since Norwegian symphonic black metallers Dimmu Borgir have given any new updates. The band announced in 2013 that they were working on a new album. Things seem to be moving along as they are in pre-production for their tenth album. Shagrath has posted a picture on the band's Facebook page where he says he is working on some new Dimmu Borgir riffs. Will the band release the new album this year? That is still under wraps for now but we will keep you posted.

Warbringer - Back With New Line-Up, Touring In Asia And US

Thrash metal force Warbringer are back in action with a new line up. Their future seemed in doubt after their drummer Carlos Cruz and founding guitarist John Laux left the band last year but the band continued. After months of intense rehearsal, the five-piece is ready to show the world the new Warbringer. The campaign starts with an Asian Assault because there's nothing better than flying halfway across the world and debuting your new lineup in front of a huge crowd at the Hammersonic Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia. This show will be followed by additional headlining dates in the region.

Kataklysm - Set New Album Release Date

Little by little, Kataklysm reveal more about their new album. Now they have set a release date for the new offering titled Of Ghosts And Gods for July 31st through Nuclear Blast Records. The band will also launch a brand new website and will release the new album cover artwork this month on March 23rd. The countdown has begun! The death metal powerhouse is finished with the recordings for the upcoming album at this point.

Blues Pills - Announce Special Show In New York

Once their North American and West Coast debut at Kirk Von Hammett's Fear FestEvil on Saturday April 11th at the RockBar Theater in San Jose, California is completed, blues rock quartet Blues Pills will pack up their patchouli-scented, multicolored Volkswagon Bus for a cross-country trek to New York's St. Vitus Bar in Brooklyn for their one-off intimate show, East Coast debut on Thursday evening, April 16th. Moonspell - Debut New Video

Today sees the official release of Moonspell's new album Extinct in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal as well as Australia. While it will only hit stores on March 9th in the UK and March 17th in North America, now you can watch the band's promised new video clip for the title track. It was directed by Victor Castro for Bulldozer productions and it's the first created for Extinct. You can see if you like the final product below. According to the band, you can expect a meaningful, dark and cinematic video.

Iron Maiden - Update On Bruce Dickinson's Condition

Last month, Iron Maiden shocked fans by announcing that their legendary frontman Bruce Dickinson underwent chemotherapy and radiology to treat a cancerous tumor at the back of his tongue. Now the group's manager Rod Smallwood has released an update. According to Smallwood, Bruce is on the road to recovery and everyone remains optimistic. Iron Maiden's plans will be determined by Bruce's progress. Recently, the heavy metallers drummer Nicko McBrain confirmed in an interview that the band's new album is ready but the launch has been delayed while Bruce Dickinson recovers.

Monstrance - New Band With Former Carcass And Benediction Members

Former Carcass guitarist Carlo Regadas has joined forces with drummer Ian Treacy (ex-Benediction, Meathoo Sead, Absolute Power) and vocalist Tony Glover (ex-Devoid) in a new band called Monstrance. They are currently writing for their first album after bouncing material around for several years.

Flotsam & Jetsam - New European Tour Dates Announced

Flotsam & Jetsam have recently confirmed the first wave of club and festival dates for their upcoming 2015 European tour that's scheduled to start in May and run through August. This tour will mark the band's return to Europe, coming off the heels of 2013's Ugly Noise and last year's re-recording of the band's 1988 classic No Place For Disgrace. Initially set to start in April, the tour was pushed out a month to May in order to allow the band time to continue writing for their new 2015 release that will feature new drummer, Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, Anthrax), who joined the band in late 2014.

Girlschool - Preparing New Album, Announce Tour

Girlschool will visit the U.S. for the first time in almost 20 years when they kick off their Guilty As Sin tour in San Diego, California on May 20th. Six Feet Under - New Album Coming, Debut New Track

Death metal veterans Six Feet Under have been very prolific throughout the years and that is not about to change now. In fact, they will release their eleventh studio recording on May 5th via Metal Blade Records. Katatonia - Reveal Clip From New Concert Film

While Katatonia haven't released a new album in a few years, they have been busy with other releases including EPs, compilations, acoustic releases and DVDs. Now the Swedish masters of melancholy will release a new concert film, Sanctitude, and today you get to watch the live video for "Day" which is a beautiful song you might know from one of the band's standout records, Brave Murder Day.
