Saxon - To Enter The Studio
British heavy metal veterans Saxon will enter the studio in early 2015 to begin recording the follow-up to 2013's Sacrifice for a late summer release. In a recent interview, singer Biff Byford announced that the new album is planned to be released around August or September next year.

Malice - Guitarist Mick Zane Diagnosed With Brain Tumor
According to Michael Fischer of KNAC.com, Mick Zane, lead guitarist and founding member of the 1980s heavy metal band Malice, will reportedly undergo brain surgery today after he was diagnosed with a small brain tumor. Mick Zane, who has yet to find out if his tumor is malignant or not, has been in the studio writing and recording material for his first ever solo album. The project, which was set to feature some guest players on various tracks, has been put on hold.

U.D.O. - New Album Tracklist Announced

Stryper - To Begin Recording New Album
Stryper's new album is coming. According to guitarist/vocalist Michael Sweet of the American metallers, the band is in writing mode for their next studio album for a 2015 release via Frontiers. Frontiers Music will release Level 10's debut album, Chapter One, in Europe on January 23rd and in North America on January 27th. The album will feature 12 songs. Saint Vitus - Wino Detained In Norway, Deported To U.S.
American doomsters Saint Vitus are in a hairy situation. The band just informed that their frontman Scott "Wino" Weinrich was arrested in Norway by the immigration police for possession of illegal substances. They are in the middle of a European tour and Wino is being deported to the U.S. Despite that, the band vows to continue their 35th anniversary European tour which has three more German shows. Guitarist David Chandler and drummer Henry Vasquez, and possibly other guests, will take over vocal duties.

Soundgarden - Previously Unreleased Song Online
By now, you probably know that Soundgarden are about to release their long-awaited 3-CD rarities collection, Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path on November 24th. Among the set's seven unreleased tracks is a brand new recording, "Storm," recorded in May this year with producer Jack Endino in Seattle, still available here. Now the band has revealed "Twin Tower", which was recorded in 1988 during the Louder Than Love sessions and previously unreleased. Check it out!
