Agregator - Bass Player Dies In Car Accident

Roland Liviczki, the bassist of Hungarian melodic death metallers Agregator, has passed away in a car accident this Saturday, according to the band. Agregator had a few concerts booked for the end of this year and January as well as studio recordings planned.

Macbeth - New Album On The Way, Title Revealed

Italian gothic metallers Macbeth have set Neo-Gothic Propaganda as the title of their fifth full-length studio album, tentatively due on early 2013 via Dragonheart Records, following their 2007 release Superangelic Hate Bringers.

Officium Triste - New Album Artwork And Tracklist Unveiled

As previously reported, Hammerheart Records will release Mors Viri, the new album from Dutch doom metal band Officium Triste, in the spring of 2013 on CD, LP and digital. Mors Viri was recorded in Bergweiler (Germany) at Pato Studio by Martin Kwakernaak. The album's artwork and tracklist have now been revealed. Feast your eyes below.

The Meads Of Asphodel - Session Guitarist Huw Lloyd Langton Passes Away

Huw Lloyd Langton, best known as the former guitarist of rock band Hawkwind, has died, aged 61, after a two-year battle with cancer, the band has announced. He was also a session guitarist for British metallers The Meads Of Asphodel.

Pretty Maids - Working On New Album

Danish heavy metal veterans Pretty Maids are hard at work in the studio to give birth to the successor of Pandemonium. The band has set Motherland as the title of their new album, due to be released in the spring of 2013 via Frontiers Records. The album is once again being produced by Jacob Hansen and will include such song titles as "Mother Of All Lies", "I See Ghosts", "The Iceman", "Why So Serious", "To Fool A Nation" and the title track.

Saturnus - New Album Release Date And Tracklist Revealed

Danish death/doom metal band Saturnus has revealed some new details about their long-awaited upcoming release Saturn In Ascension. The band's fourth album will be released on November 30th, 2012 through Cyclone Empire and the full tracklist can now be seen below. The digipak version will also include the bonus track "Limbs Of Crystal Clear", taken from their first demo tape in 1994.

Pentagram - Former Bassist Vance Bockis Passed Away At Age 50

Washington, D.C.-area punk and metal bassist Vance Bockis has died at the age of 50. The musician, who played in such bands as The Obsessed, 9353 and Pentagram, in addition to fronting The Factory, passed away at his home in Fairfax County, Virginia, from complications following shoulder surgery.

Lethal - Guitarist Eric Cook Loses Battle With Cancer

Eric Cook, guitarist for the legendary power/progressive metal band Lethal, has lost his battle with cancer. The Kentucky-based band was founded by Tom Mallicoat and the Cook brothers, Eric and Glen. The band would go on to release two albums, Programmed in 1990 and Poison Seed in 1996.

Pentagram - To Perform Entire 'Relentless' Album At Power Of The Riff East Festival

Legendary cult doom act Pentagram are set to play a very special set for the first Power Of The Riff - East festival on September 1st in Brooklyn, New York. The band will perform its album Relentless (the album Pentagram re-released in 1993 with the same songs in another order) in its entirety for the first time since the early 1980's. Pentagram will also play other songs spanning the group's career, including tracks from their most recent album Last Rites. The influential doom outfit will also support Down in Philadelphia and Maryland.

Aerosmith - New Song Available For Streaming

Aerosmith have just released the new song "Lover Alot", which can be streamed over here. The track, which is a duet between the band's singer Steven Tyler and the bassist, Tom Hamilton, will appear on the band's 15th studio album, titled Music From Another Dimension, which will hit stores on November 6th via Columbia Records.
