"The band have decided to release a 5 track EP entitled Throne Of Damnation by popular demand. It will have 3 new songs, "Prime Time", "Running Man" and "Freak Show". Also to be included are re-workings of "Whore Of Babylon" and "Night Stalker" featured on the Brutal Legend game. The EP is available as a limited run only, so will be much sought after. The first 500 will be on sale at a special price of £5.00 including postage and packing. Order now to avoid disappointment! Go to the shop menu!"

"The Unrelenting Surge Of Vengeance", the new video from Indian metallers Demonic Resurrection, has been made available online. The clip was directed by Vijesh Rajan and Srinivas.
"The Unrelenting Surge Of Vengeance" comes off the band's forthcoming album, The Return To Darkness, which is scheduled to be released on January 15th via Demonstealer Records. The artwork of the album was created by Xaay, who has previously worked with Nile, Karl Sanders, Necrophagist and Behemoth.

Dying Fetus - New Video Online
"Your Treachery Will Die With You", the new video from US metallers Dying Fetus, has been made available online. The clip was filmed in New York with director Kevin Custer (Hatebreed, Testament, Soulja Boy, Kingdom Of Sorrow), who previously worked with the band on the "Shepherd's Commandment" video.

Mercenary - New Drummer Announced
Official press release
Mercenary have been joined by Danish drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen (Submission, The Arcane Order), who made the following comment:
"I'm happy to announce that I have now joined Mercenary. After having shared the stage with Mercenary alongside my band Submission, I became really impressed by their shows and musicianship, so I'm really looking forward to deliver some kick-ass shows as their drummer. I'm also very excited about being involved in the writing for the next album. It will show a new Mercenary, and I mean that in a very positive way. In my opinion the new material will definitely be the strongest to this date!"
Guitarist Jakob Mølbjerg adds: "We're very happy to have Morten join the ranks. Not only is he a true master behind the drums, he's also a very easygoing person with a great musical drive and understanding. With Morten in the band, there's a whole new sense of renewed and shared energy, creativity and ambition. We've had several rehearsal sessions in the last couple of weeks, and the metal just flows. The old songs already sound like Morten have played them for years, and the new material is crushing and intense.
On a further note, we now have a complete lineup. René will handle all vocals from now on, and trust us, he's more than capable of doing so. As everybody who has seen us live in the last couple of years is fully aware of, René is a real powerhouse, and he has so much more under his belt than he got to display on the previous album (genital pun intended)."
Mercenary will perform with their new lineup for the first time at the Shock Rock Festival on 12th of February, 2010 (with Carpark North, The Rumour Said Fire). More info here: www.rockshock.dk.

It is our very pleasant duty to disclose information which has been conceived a few weeks ago. The new "dark" horse on Naga productions' roster are Slovak Hromovlad.
The band is well-known by natural and very successful concerts and its potential is still growing. Fans also very familiar with the previous two records, and very quickly Hromovlad's folk / black metal popular.
We believe that together we produce the best Hromovlad's album and look forward to what the year ahead in this respect will.

We are truly grateful and it means a lot to us that we had such a nice response on The West Pole and the new line up of The Gathering! We are very much looking forward to another eventful year with touring lots of countries and meeting many of you friends and fans playing and sharing our common interest: music.

Thurisaz - New Song Online
Belgian metallers Thurisaz have issued the following update on their MySpace blog:
"2009 has been a year of heights and lows for Thurisaz... First there was the departure of our bassplayer Lars, which was a very though decision to make but in the end the right decision for both him and the band. We are still very grateful for all he did for Thurisaz throughout the years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours!
The departure meant of course there was room for a new recruit: Hannes Leroy, a long time friend of the band. With Hannes joining, Thurisaz finally found back the energy and inspiration it was looking for since quite some time. And that paid off!
Since a year we've started to write new material, with ups and downs, but we're nearing the final stage. Recordings will be done next spring in the CCR-studio, where we recorded our both previous albums. We've always enjoyed working with Kris from CCR, so we're very much looking forward to record there again! But... no promises yet on a release date, to avoid false hopes.
A couple of months ago we promised a new song on our MySpace. It was originally meant as a preproduction (and in a way it still is), but thanx to the efforts of Nik, our sound engineer, it has turned out great! Granted, it has took us a little longer as foreseen, but here is "Precious Scars" as a new years present from Thurisaz to the fans! Enjoy!"

Danish metallers Royal Hunt have issued the following update on their official website:
"Happy New Year, everyone!
Hope you like this new-and-improved look and functionality of our website. So - what do we have in store for you?
First of all: our new album is done! As this will be our tenth studio release we decided not to elaborate on its title too much, so here you go: Royal Hunt - X... and it will be out in 2010...
Secondly: we've been talking to various promoters in order to arrange some gigs to support our new release and it looks like there'll be some "live on stage" action in April/May 2010.
In general: it's hard to predict how things will shape out with the current state-of-affairs in our "beloved" music business (with piracy and illegal downloading playing the rapidly increasing, harmful part of it), but we'll definitively give this album a fair chance and work hard to make it successful; in case it won't work... well, then you'd have to make the next one yourselves.
