Rotting Christ - Announce Co-Headline Tour With Carach Angren

Kamelot - New Album Update, Set For April 2018

Kamelot have also released a new album update. The symphonic metallers confirmed an expected release date for April 2018 on Napalm Records with distribution from Universal and Warner. Their latest output was 2015's Haven. So, fans will have to wait a few more months for the new material.

Eluveitie - Debut Video For New Single, Working On New Album

Swiss folk metal stars Eluveitie released their latest album Evocation II - Pantheon back in August via Nuclear Blast. This acoustic album continued the path of its precursor Evocation I (2009) and entered the charts worldwide, placing at #2 in Switzerland. Pilgrim - Frontman Jon Rossi Dies At 26

Pilgrim's frontman, vocalist and guitarist, Jon Rossi (The Wizard), has reportedly passed away aged 26, so young. Details surrounding his death have yet to be disclosed, though tributes from colleagues in the metal community have begun to surface online. But the doom metal band hasn't released any statement about it so far. Last week, they cancelled their European tour and were planning to release new music. Rest in peace.

Orphaned Land - Reveal New Album Cover Art, Tracklist

Oriental metal pioneers Orphaned Land will release their new 64-minute studio album, Unsung Prophets & Dead Messiahs, on January 26th, 2018 via Century Media Records. Jens Bogren once again took over mixing and mastering duties of what turned out to be the band's biggest production so far. The album will feature a guest appearance by guitar virtuoso Steve Hackett as well as guest vocal appearances by no other than Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian) and Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates). The album artwork was created by Valnoir and you can feast your eyes on it below, where you also find the tracklist.

Autopsy - To Release Mini Album, Debut Track

Marking 30 years of depravity, U.S. death metal pioneers Autopsy return with the Puncturing The Grotesque mini-LP, containing 7 tracks of blistering sickness, and their first new material since Skull Grinder, on 15th December 2017 exclusively through the Peaceville store. Puncturing The Grotesque features a high-octane version of "Fuck You!!!", originally known from 80's West Oakland act Bloodbath (which once featured current guitarist Danny Coralles). Enslaved - To Tour With Wolves In The Throne Room, Myrkur, Khemmis

Enslaved have just unleashed their new album E on October 13th via Nuclear Blast. The album debuted at #12 on the Norwegian charts as well as #6 US Billboard Heatseekers, among others. Enslaved have now also been confirmed as headliners of the 2018 Decibel Magazine Tour. The Norwegian progressive metal legends will join forces with Pacific Northwest black metal heroes Wolves In The Throne Room, Danish post-black siren Myrkur and doomed crushers Khemmis (with regional openers in select markets to be announced next year).

Pentagram - Bobby Liebling Jailed For 18 Months

Bobby Liebling, the frontman and founding member of American doom metal pioneers Pentagram, has been sentenced by a court in Maryland to spend 18 months in prison for abuse and neglect of a vulnerable adult. After completing that sentence, he will be placed on supervised probation for three years. He was arrested in May for his actions and also charged with first degree assault, to which he pleaded not guilty, though he did plead guilty to the charge of abuse/neglect of a vulnerable adult, which is believed to be his 87 year old mother. This past spring, the doom metal legends had to perform dates without their frontman.

Megadeth - Mustaine Slams Metal Blade Founder Brian Slagel

In Twitter wars today, Megadeth frontman, Dave Mustaine, has slammed Metal Blade Founder and CEO Brian Slagel over claims made in Slagel's new book. The book titled For The Sake Of Heaviness: The History Of Metal Blade Records was released in August, with the author claiming that he tried to sign Megadeth in the early 80s for $7000. But Mustaine disputed Slagel's claim on Twitter, saying: "If the fallacy of offering us a deal for $7000 is any indication of the rest of this book, I hope it's marked fiction. I'd never sign w/you." After a few exchanges, Chris Barnes of Six Feet Under fame, who are signed to Metal Blade, also got involved in the discussion.
