Megadeth - New Album In The Works

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine dropped by the Megadeth Cyber Army chat room last Tuesday (November 16) for a special live chat with his fan club members. The following is an excerpt from the chat:

"So, right now I have Ken Eisennagel, you may remember him from the last two records doing engineering for all of the pre-production phases of Megadeth records? Well, he is here [Megadeth's studio - Vic's Garage] going over all of the new Megadeth stuff that I am working on... believe it or not we have five songs almost finished for the new Megs record already!"

Suidakra - Album Tracklist Revealed, Line-Up Change

Suidakra have been busy working on a new studio album since May. The band has now checked in with the following news:

"The recording sessions for Book Of Dowth are just a few weeks away! Before locking ourselves in at Gernhart Studio in Siegburg on November 30 to nail down the new record with producer Martin Buchwalter, we just want to take the opportunity to quickly deliver the latest news. Let's start with the track listing of Book Of Dowth:

Book Of Dowth [cover art] tracklist:

01. Over Nine Waves
02. Dowth 2059
03. Battle-Cairns
04. Biróg's Oath
05. Mag Mell
06. The Dark Mound
07. Balor
08. Stone Of The Seven Suns
09. Fury Fomoraigh
10. Otherworlds Collide

Besides preparing for the recordings, we spent the last few weeks shooting a brand new video clip for the track "Dowth 2059". It's our first collaboration with director/producer David Thelen and even though the post-production has just started, one thing is for sure: It will kick some serious ass! Keep your eyes peeled...

We have to announce a line-up change: Due to work-related circumstances, guitarist Sebastian Hintz cannot spend his time with Suidakra any longer. His final concert with the band will take place on December 4, 2010 in Belgium! We wish him all the best for his future career and want to express our gratitude for his commitment and friendship during the last 2 years. Thanks for the great time, Sebakki! Well, it's no new situation for the rest of us and we'll continue without hesitation: We have already recruited a new live guitar player for our shows in 2011: His name is Jussi and maybe some of you have heard of his main band Kingdom Of Salvation.

We're busy working on tours, single shows and festival appearances for the next year, so there will be plenty opportunities to invite all of us for a beer... Well, that's it from us. We'll keep you updated from the studio with more info about the new album, pics, videos etc. etc."

Despite the fact that this will be our final collaboration with Cruz Del Sur Music, in no way is Triumph:Tragedy:Transcendence a "contract fulfiller"; we all invested ourselves the same way we always do with our studio releases, and did everything we could to insure this album turned out phenomenal.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Enrico at Cruz Del Sur Music for his friendship, support, and belief in While Heaven Wept over the years... this will never be forgotten. We are extremely proud of the releases we've collaborating upon, and I personally intend to continue working very closely with Cruz Del Sur Music in the future.

Trail Of Tears - Working On New Material

Norwegian metallers Trail Of Tears are in the pre-production phase of a new studio album. A clip from the studio can be watched below. Here's an update from the band:

"Ok, so it's been a while since the last update from the Trail camp. The reason for this silence is simple: we have been keeping ourselves busy writing some new tunes and trying out a few ideas in the studio. We have to say that it has been a good experience and some of the ideas which have surfaced so far sound pretty damn exciting to our ears! We are continuing to write material for the next album and will spend a few more months creating something that will live up to our own expectations and goals and hopefully raise a few eyebrows as well!"

Neuromist - Line-Up Changes

Kirill Zmurciuk, guitarist and founding member of Moldovan progressive death metal band Neuromist, has announced the departure of their drummer and vocalist. Here's the full message:

"Without any introduction I will get straight to the point - we have yet another line-up changes. Both Mihail Grigorash and Vladimir Ghilien have left the band a few months ago for personal and very positive reasons. Both are waiting for their wives to give birth to their children, and that's very good news for us. Guys simply don't have the time to focus on music so they decided to leave the band. All we can say is good luck for their families that will get bigger very soon

As for our little family, we are glad to announce our new/old drummer - Serghei "Liolik" Petrenco. Those of you who have seen us supporting Sadist in Chisinau on 30th of October already know that the founding drummer is back in the fold and he's kicking some serious ass behind the kit. He has agreed to stay with us permanently after this show, and we're very excited about it since he's a real pro and there's not doubt that our music will get even more technical and aggressive with him joining us. So, welcome back to the family!

As for the vocalist, we didn't find a permanent replacement yet, but we're looking for it. We've been joined by former vocalist Laur Lozan for the show and had a little collaboration with Lena from Infected Rain for one song. It turned our killer, but it was just a single show. So if anyone is intrested in becoming a full-time frontman for a band where all other dudes are constantly looking at their instruments - give us a note."

Urgehal - Two Tracks Available For Streaming

Norwegian black metallers Urgehal are streaming two new tracks, called "Death Is Complete" and "Beyond The Nightmare" at their official MySpace page.

Added the band: "The two new added tracks are taken from the upcoming 7" which is a tribute to old dirty fucking Black Metal. The reason for the sloppy drumming on the song "Death Is Complete" is that Trondr Nefas did it himself after not having played drums on a regular basis since '97. These two songs are staying here for a short while and the necro release is due after "Happy New Year". So just drop dead or fuck off!"

Go check out the two songs of pure primitive hell here.

Natron - Forced To Postpone European Tour

Italian death metallers Natron are postponing their European tour to next spring 2011. Natron drummer Max Marzocca expains:

"We have to announce another bad news: unfortunately we have to cancel this tour with Mumakil, and even this time again it's something not depending on the band. Mumakil fellas suddenly weren't available for touring for health problems with one of their members so they were forced to quit. After forwarding the sad news to the clubs/promoters we received responses regarding a possible line up change and they were not positive at all. Some clubs confirmed their shows but some others not. Frankly, we thought well to renounce and cancel it. Really this is the last thing we want to do after months of hard work but we didn't see alternatives: the short time we had in front of us to replace those shows was not helping at all and mainly several days off in the scheduling didn't make sense to continue!

Sorry for these bad news but we can say that another tour is in the band plan next spring 2011, so stay tuned and be sure to check the tour dates as soon as they 'll posted on this space!"

Pain - Update From The Band

For those wondering what the hell is going on in the Pain camp, the Swedish metallers have released the following statement:

"Well... It's been a while since the last update and we thought it was about time to let you in on a couple of things.

The last couple of months every one of us has been pretty busy with anything but Pain. As you may know Peter has been concentrating on Hypocrisy this year and recently came home from a successful tour in South America. David, who just got signed up with Zildjian, is working for Unique Pyrotechnic along with doing a lot of different stand-in club shows in Sweden. Johan became a dad in August (best wishes from us all), and the more time spent away from Pain means the more time spent with his family. Michael is working with different side projects along with his work for Digidesign.

Now, the following months will be dedicated to Pain and to finish the new songs. Up till today 8 songs are more or less ready to go, and at least 3 or 4 more are needed before we can start recording. Our plans are to start the recordings in late 2010 or early 2011, and have the album ready for a world wide release sometime in May 2011. After that we're about to hit the road and do as many of the summer festivals as we can. Of course there will be a headline tour as well, and if everything works out we'll even break new grounds. Work has also begun with designing a new stage set that will be something out of the average.

As you may understand we're more eager than ever to record this album, make it the best, and play it for you live. So stay tuned and visit our websites for continuous information, studio reports, album details, and the first showdates for 2011."
