Fleshgod Apocalypse fans rejoice because you can now hear the first track of their new album! The Italian symphonic death metallers are ready to release their fourth album, King, on February 5th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast. To kick off 2016 with a bang, the group will also release the first single from the new opus on January 1st, 2016, entitled "The Fool". The band commented: "'The Fool' is one of the craziest songs of the album and we felt like it was a perfect way to let people approach our new work. It's a song without compromises and because of the character it is about, we had the chance to get into a profound matter that concerns us all."

The cover artwork of the single was created by Mark Riddick.

Good, that excessively compressed production will not be present on this album it seems.

Considering their last two albums, this actually blew me away. I'll definitely listen to this album when it drops!

Better than anything else I've heard from this band but still not quite there yet, even though there's some good neoclassical shit going on here.

Whenever I write something funny, weird, or pretentious... I learned English by playing Baldur's Gate, okay?

Well it all sounds good to me, yet in the vein of what Fleshgod Apocalypse is used to produce. New keyboards sound it definitely a plus. I want to listen to more now !

To be fair I have only listened to the latest two albums and they did nothing for me. I'll check it out.

Rapid Fire
Sounds good, catchy and intense at the same time. Hopefully this will be better than Labyrinth.

Twelve voices were shouting in anger, and they were all alike. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Stunning Cactus
Fucking phenomenal.

Pros:
-Clean vocals are TREMENDOUSLY better
-Fucking harpsichord
-Jens Bogren on production; you can seriously tell how much better the balance of instruments is
-Creative composition; they're keeping up the bombastic neoclassical sympho-death and it's sounding better than ever!

Cons:
-Fucking nothing

BRING ON KING!

Don't care much for symphonic metal anymore and this certainly doesn't make me reconsider.
