Altar Of Oblivion - Recording New Studio Album
Two months ago, Danish doomsters Altar Of Oblivion have released the The Seven Spirits album. Now, the band is already in the recording phase of their new full length offering, with sharing title Proselytes Of The Apocalypse. Stay tuned for upcoming details and news.
The latest statement on the band's Facebook page: "The guitars and most keyboard parts for the upcoming fourth full-length Proselytes Of The Apocalypse have been recorded. In the coming weeks, the bass parts and remaining keyboards will be nailed.
"In the studio, we didn't waste valuable time sleeping and eating, and Jeppe Campradt aka Marathon Man managed to record for 26 hours straight, only disrupted by short coffee/smoking breaks every three hours. After 20 hours, our producer suddenly fell off his chair and passed out on the floor, after which Jeppe took over the producing/tracking role whilst still completing his parts with the producer lying just next to him.
"I haven't seen anything like that before, and apparently a strict caffeine/nicotine diet can work wonders. Personally, I was awake for 36 hours, which is a new record. In any case, the final result has blown me away, and I can't wait for the rest to be recorded."
