Finland's Beast In Black have recently released two new songs/videos from their upcoming third long player, Dark Connection. The latter will see the light on October 29th.

It's fun stuff, but they're definitely leaning into 80s synth pop territory. I've often wondered if we should call stuff like this "synth metal," as they they're using more synth pads than anything symphonic. I could groups like Amaranthe and Metalite fitting in as well.

I'm really worried about the musical direction of those guys  Wasn't bothered about them being Power Metal with EuroBeat influences, but now it seems they are becoming more EuroBeat than Metal.

Well, it's like DDR music, right? Or the kind of stuff that made the Initial D anime a big meme, right? I'm pretty sure I've listened to a ton of it already.  And that's not even the worst of it. I also like happy hardcore. Now that's some cheesy stuff.
