Much as I like Zetro as vocalist, their last albums with him weren’t anything to write home about. Hopefully Dukes returning will inspire some creativity.

Not into Rob's vocals. So generic, and guitar work is too modern with him in old Exodus stuff. I will miss Zetro

I didn't realise Zetro was as polarising as the comments here suggest... I'll miss him - for me he is the voice of Exodus. Maybe we can get a new Tenet album now??

Yes! I was thinking either that or a Hatriot reunion with him.

Both have their advantages; Zetro is of course the classic Exodus voice, while Rob has great voice especially on clean vocals -- those won't probably be heard on Exodus. Am I only who wants to know why Zetro left?

I'm not really concerned about why Zet left, but hopefully it's not the same drama that prompted him to quit back in 2004.

In my opinion Zetro is THE voice of Exodus, but with a caveat. Starting with Tempo of the Damned, his voice became too abrasive and shrill for my tastes. That album has a brilliant song, Shroud of Urine, but the singing there is a bit too much.
All that said, I think Rob Dukes is great too - I loved Shovel-Headed Kill Machine, especially Shudder to Think. I'm sure he'll kill it on the new album.

I understand if it's something personal they should keep it private. If it's something band and music related then fans should deserve an explanation

In your books. For me, it's a boring record. If I wanted to hear a classic Exodus, I'd pull Tempo Of The Damned or Bonded By Blood followed by Fabulous Disaster.

I'd crank up Impact Is Imminent as well.

In a perfect world we will get another Tenet album before we get a new Hatriot album.

I'm not sure he will rejoin Hatriot because all three of his sons, one being the vocalist, is now running it, and they are way heavier darker thrash sound, almost thrash-death sound. But I could go for another Tenet album. I was super stoked Zetro came back. Will miss him. Just hope Zetro doesn't form a ACDC/Exodus tribute band like Paul Dianno constantly does for Iron Maiden lmao. Here's to a possible Exodus duet song between Zetro/Dukes in the future!

I think Zetro adding more heavier vocals on Tempo was the best thing. As that album was originally setup for Paul Baloff before his death. I'm glad Zetro changed his voice to not sound similar to Baloff. It was his back vocals with Testament that made this happened. Thrash metal was just coming back from the dead around 2004-2006, and thrash vocals getting heavier was the norm. Exodus sound got way heavier/melodic on Tempo, continuing this sound up to this day, so it was only obvious Zetro to deliver heavier vocals. It also made an older band to compete with the younger/newer thrash bands.
My fav from Dukes era was Exhibit B though. And I'm with you being my fav was Shudder to Think on Shovel as well! But I didn't enjoy his solo stuff after he left the band.
Hearing Zetro's voice for the first time on Tempo, just getting into thrash metal back in my high school days (metal was barely a thing in America back in 2005, mind you, never on radio growing up in 90s) is what made thrash my favorite metal genre.
