Poison The Well - Release First New Song In 15 Years
Poison The Well's first new song in fifteen years, called "Trembling Level," has officially been released online. You can watch the official music video below. This track marks the first taste of the band's highly anticipated follow-up to their 2009 album The Tropic Rot. The metalcore group first announced their upcoming sixth studio album last summer.
This single was produced by Grammy Award-winning musician/producer Will Putney (Better Lovers, Fit For An Autopsy) and is released through the band’s newly announced label home, SharpTone Records.
Interestingly, former guitarist Derek Miller is credited as one of the songwriters for the track, alongside drummer Christopher Hornbrook, vocalist Jeffrey Moriera, and guitarist Ryan Primack. Miller, who left the band in 2004 and made a brief return in 2015, has since focused on his work with the recently revived duo Sleigh Bells.
Guitarist Ryan Primack shared the following: "For me, I was trying to figure how to effectively incorporate elements from our whole discography into one song. We ended up with this, and it has a little bit of everything we've done throughout the course of our existence."
Vocalist Jeff Moreira adds: "Lyrically, it's about tackling a fear. I tend to write based on personal experience. You're approaching something you're scared to do, going through it, and realizing the hardest parts are actually the ones you should be looking towards because those will lead you to success."
