If I had the pleasure of sitting down with one living metal musician, it would be the amazing Jeff Walker. Mr.Walker seems like one of the coolest people alive, and since of course of the all-mightly Valfar no longer alive, it would be Jeff. My 2nd all time favorite musician is Jeff Walka, and it would be an experience to sit down and have beer with him.

If you could sit down with one metal musician and have a beer, who would it be?

Dead from Mayhem. A shame hi lived up to his stage-name though, so this sure as hell won't be happening anytime.

He seems like he was a really interesting fellow though, so it would have been an experience.

Then of course, I sure wouldn't mind smoking some weed with the members of Electric Wizard...

I wouldn't mind smoking da herb with Mike Portnoy and Rudess from Dream Theater...apparently they smoke up quite a bit together...also the boys from Quo Vadis again because that was fun...

A beer though I'd choose Symphony X guys...Russel Allen was drunk as fuck on stage when I was Symphony X live once...he just seemed like a party animal...

Erik Rutan seems like a really cool dude from what I've seen from the Cannibal Corpse DVDs, but having a beer with Trey Azagthoth would be seriously cool.

He seems to be a very cool guy to talk, and he must have tons of story to tell, 'cause honestly he's not that young.

1- Johan Hegg, vocalist from Amon Amarth, he seems like a very nice guy, in the interviews he's always laughing, he has a great sense of humour
2- Alex Webster, he's a down to earth guy, a very inteligent person and I think we could talk about anything

...but in general, having a beer with a member of any of your favourite bands its a real honour, it'd be great to have an experience like that

Adam Jones from Tool, I could listen to that guy ramble on for days.

A.A. Nemtheanga from Primordial. To talk about mytholoigy, metal and of course history.

Akerfeldt, John Petrucci and Steven Wilson. Of course we would only talk about guitars

Nergal from Behemoth or Chris Barnes from SFU.

Watching a Pantera DVD I thought they had to be the best party animals ever!

yep! johan hegg would be my choice as well. he does seem like a cool guy and i know that with him it wouldn't be just one beer but a whole lot of 'em! but just like you say, having a beer with any musician would be agreat honor

King diamond would be my choice. He is smart, down to earth and his imagination is out of this world.

Can I change "drink a beer" to "smoke weed"? If so, I would like to do such with Ross Sewage, because he seems to have a very interesting personality, based upon interviews that have been made with him.

I remember holding Heri Joensen's pint of ale for him while he was busy signing a piece of paper I had given him although I didn't have my own glass nor did I drink from his....but interesting conversations with interesting and talented musicians and artists would always be good....
My friend told me he drank with Erik Molarin...dang, why didn't I stick with them during that evening....

I'd have to really consider that.... on one hand you have the Fenriz of Darkthrone who has lived through the 'black metal' scene, full of humour, and crazy. However, I don't think he'd really have anything to interesting to talk about....or WOULD HE?! Oscar...or Reaper? of OLD told me I should come to his house when Fenriz comes to visit him, but I hardly believe that seeing as how we don't have much contact.

The Dude would love to sit down and drink a White Russian with the assumed members of Deathspell Omega, MkM, or Thelemnar or sG of Secrets of the Moon. Preferably Secrets of the Moon to be honest because we've met up a few times, but I ALWAYS have to drive!!!!!

We have that basis on each other, now we just need to let the alcohol flow through us. I'm sure sG mixes a hell of a caucasian, lol.

I'd have a beer or probably two or three with James Hetfield. I like him. He is a good guy, and he is not arrogant.

Actually I don't really like to have a drink, but I like to play football with Max Cavalera.. And I also like to go to cinema with Attila Csihar..

Probably Abbath He seems like a very cool and fun loving dude. Others I'd drink with are Fenriz from Darkthrone, Nemtheanga form Primordial, or Peter Tagtgren

I was at a meet and greet with Metallica, and tried to swipe Lars Ulricdh's beer (I was underage at the time). He busted me on it. I'd love to buy him one now, and see if he remembers.

You can start a thread on them when you reach 100 posts. When I finally made it to a 100 posts I think my thread was about Secrets of the Moon, also worth checking out....well, if you're into that kind of metal.

I had a chance to drink with Kerry King in Frankfurt in 2007...I think, but he was so disorientated and I was already wasted from Johnny Walker. I should have wrote that in my first post. There were some older guys with him too, but I didn't recognize them and that pissed them off a bit. They were probably The Who or something like that, lol.
