It is really not often I look at an album that is more than an hour long in runtime and think "Too short". In Veil Of Imagination's case, I wish it went forever and ever.

So good, unbelievable. Peak Opeth would be proud of such record.
And definitely not symphonic folk anymore, I'd call it rather symphonic/progressive death.

I'd call it rather symphonic/progressive death.

It's basically symphonic Opeth
Some of it sounds like a direct copy paste

One of the melodic motifs in The Unimaginable Zero Summer is an obvious Opeth moment, but other than that your post comes across like all other prog bands who mix in death metal just copy Opeth.

I liked their previous album, but this is on a whole other level.

Impressive!

Definitely Progressive Death Metal, not Symphonic Folk.

Right. This is progressive death metal. It's copy/paste Opeth to the same extent that all doom bands are copy/paste Sabbath. The influence is obviously there, but it really cheapens such a good album to act as if this is just cookie cutter stuff.

It's not a copy+paste, but there's definitely a few moments that borrow heavily from Opeth (the part you mentioned, ending of Tyranny of Imagination, a few others I can't remember just now)

Still a really solid album though

The Opeth influences are nothing new for Wilderun, their previous 2 albums also have similar influences.

Amazing album, at the same level as Sleep ... It must be heard as a whole; definitely a piece of art.

I don't think they completely left the folk influences. Although they do not use the instruments present in the previous works (mandolin, autoharp), there are many melodies, vocal lines, that are still folk.

Highlights for me (difficult to choose only some tracks): The Unimaginable Zero Summer, O Resolution!, Sleeping Ambassadors Of The Sun and Scentless Core (Fading).

They're still unsigned, purchasing their albums through their bandcamp site is the only (and best!) alternative right now.
