The surrounding area of the Mountain you showed doesn't look as inhospitable as Mordor though, I don't think I'll be struck down by a Nazgûl on my travels there

A must-buy record. It's now 01.21 am when I am writing this. The first full spin was incredible. Now I am in the middle of the second full spin and it is even greater.
Epic and playful melodeath, feels refreshing to listen to after many spins of the new Soilwork and the latest "In Flames" (which are both great in their own way).

"We are blind to the world within us, waiting to be born"
This is a very impressive album, up there with the most surprising this year I would say, and definitely a contender for folk metal aoty. I don't know what everybody else thinks but this has potential of becoming my favourite album so far this year.
Some of guitar solo's are very impressive, especially the solo on "Rift Between Us", which is just incredible. The songwriting is great and I really enjoy the choruses most. At times it's like listening to some of the best work in recent years by Amorphis, blended with early Ensiferum material, and the creation is something glorious. Maybe lacking a little in consistency as there are several songs that standout above others, "Rift Between Us", "Landfall" and "All As One" being my standouts, but all in all it's very enjoyable
Yeah this is great. Excellent even. "Seeds of Downfall" is my favorite song on this album, but the rest is super solid. Some great riffs, insane solos, and those choruses man, so good. It's been said many times already but take note Jari, this is how you do it.
What a fantastic record. Early favourites are 'The Rift Between Us' and 'Far From Home', both are off the epic scale. They've nailed the choirs on this album, the clean vocals are a highlight.
Edit: Without doubt, it's the best album of the year. I haven't felt this emotional about an album since Time I.
Almost shockingly awesome. One of contenders for album of the year in my opinion. Great guitar work, solid vocals, awesome melodeath melodies. This band needs to be big, they are just too good to not be more recognized. Nepalm records might help with that.
I’m not much for that folk/power stuff but every once in a while I’ll find that album that ticks all boxes in what I like. A lot of those cleans are soul-moving.

~Last words of Harambe, seconds before he was shot, according to child he shielded from gunfire
I have never heard Brymir before bcoz I was never a fan of folk/power metal with few exceptions. But when I saw the reviews here, i thought of giving it a try and I am not at all disappointed. Actually the opener kicked ass and lot many followed.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘
Love the songs that have more of a black metal sound here. Especially like the cover song of Dark Funeral and their decision to close the album with it.
