This album is actually very good! Although it is deliberately hyper-traditionalist, there's enough of an identity (namely, a nice, well-rounded production and great vocals) to make it worth listening instead of just the old classics. Some retro/homage acts are just poor man's versions of what came before, but not so here.

Nice old school doom metal, but nothing spectacular or *gulp* innovative. Still, it's nice to see there's still bands keeping that 70's bluesy metal style alive.

I mean it’s pretty bog-standard for a doom metal album, but I love the atmosphere this cultivates. They say it was recorded in an abandoned church and it feels like it.
