I know people will laugh, but if I had to pick just one song right now it would be "Passion" by Stryper. Sure 99.99% of the people here have never heard this song, but it is so touching for me and really sums up my life right now.
Also, if you come to my funeral I'll go to yours.

Well, there are a lot, here it's going some (don't laugh, pls) :
> Dirt on the Grave - Black Label Society
> Forever - Stratovarius
> Always will Be - Hammefall
> In Bloom - Nirvana
> Ace of Spades - Motorhead
And others... I'm with laziness to think now

I have always said Beyond The Realms of Death - Judas Priest and although not really metal I really want Another One Bites The Dust by Queen to be playing as everyone is walking out... just to remind everyone of my sense of humor as they leave :-)

Given that I would want my funeral to be a celebration of my life, rather than a mourning of my death, I would want "Happy Little Boozer" by Korpiklaani to be played.

Happy little, happy little, happy little boozer...
That's a great drinking song.

Quick question, at which point of the funeral would this song be playing. Speaking of which 'Swords In The Wind' by Manowar would probably be a good'er.

I actually used to have a list of songs I wanted played at my funeral which is probably quite odd.
The one that I remember is 'In This River' by Black Label Society. I think Guns 'n' Roses' 'Don't Cry', with intentional irony, was in there too.

The beloved by Anathema...
Another day unfolds, still I exist
Never felt so cold, I never knew I was turning away
Though I can't explain, I only love you now that your missed
As I stand in the rain, leave me to go through this............

A swirling mass, no mercy now

"The Prow" by Voivod.
Why? Because it is a beautiful song about sailing. Death need not be seen as a negative thing, which is why I like the metaphor.

either "aase's death" by the Norgwegian composer Grieg (can be found here: http://www.last.fm/music/Edvard+Grieg/_/Aase%27s+Death) or "Funk Soul Brother" by Fat Boy Slim. Not that I'm into to FBS, but the thought of 200 mourners bobbing their hands around would be pretty amusing.

Serenity -Dark Lunacy [extremely beautiful, and powerful]
For My Fallen Angel -My Dying Bride [more like an instrumental with poetry read, but it's pretty]
Driven Through The Ruins -Trail Of Tears [I don't know why, but it would be kind of an ass kicker]
A Dying God Coming Into Human Flesh -Celtic Frost [because it's amazing]

Right now I'm thinking of this two:
Anathema:
"A Natural Disaster"
"Flying"
Yeah, just in that order... It would make everyone on the church to commit suicide. The songs are beautiful and very sad at the same time.... The lyrics are perfect for a funeral btw...

Great song, cool video too! It would be more like 'Dying God Going Out of Human Flesh', lol. Its a very simple song, but very intriguing.
I think I could probably think of a new song everyday, but as of right now, I'd like to say:
1.) Female- A Forest of Stars
2.) If you could read my Mind- Johnny Cash
Two songs at opposite ends of the spectrum, but classsssy.
