I feel exactly the same way as you two. Whatever happened to this band's songwriting skills? I can't believe this is Havok. I had expected much more from them. Waste of Life is the wrost song I think, because of those god awful vocals in the verses.

The BS cover is terrible...what the hell where they thinking picking up that song?
I gave the album another chance and i got to say the first 5 songs are enjoyable but the songs after they´re just repetitive, it is a very different album from their previous one but doesn't bring anything new to the table

It's like they took the only thing I liked about their previous album and threw it out the window.

I dont get it. i love this album. stripped down straight up thrash. i love everything they release!

The feeling of Megadeth's Super Collider all over again...both with good moments, but really a lack for long term interest

Good lord jesus this is light years ahead of Super Collider lets not even draw that comparison.

The album is pretty good. I was worried when I first heard the single before the album's release, but now that I've given the album a few listens I like it quite a bit. Time Is Up is still far superior, don't get me wrong, but this album is still pretty good in it's own right.

This is thrash, not just any thrash but retro/revivalist thrash...of course it doesn't bring anything new to the the table! Burn and Time Is Up didn't bring anything new to the table either, and neither has any other retro/revivialist thrash band, so stop whining about these bands not reinventing the thrash wheel. The guys who play in these bands aren't out to reinvent the thrash wheel, they're out to play what they love and have a lot of fun while they do it.

And I'm with Ceddybu on this one, how can anybody compare this to Super Collider...

You two are right. This album reminds me of Vektor's Outer Isolation which is pretty average compared to Black Future.

That's a good point. I have never been the biggest Vektor fan, but I certainly have respect for them. I can't really have an opinion on what is the better album by them, as I haven't listened all that much to their stuff, but Black Future has the most songs I remember at least.

Now, this album is one that I'm giving chances to over and over again. I'm starting to "get a little more used to the album" in lack of a better term. Maybe I can grow to like this one? I guess only time will tell from here.

EXACTLY, and in my opinion, the metal community's collective thrash metal boner would be raging a lot harder if people stopped worrying and complaining about copy metallica this sounds like slayer that and just thrash out and enjoy the music for what it is!!

That's because they didn't want it to be a fast drive like those albums.

Best thrash I've heard this year so far. Better than the latest ones from Skeletonwitch, Gama Bomb and even Annihilator.

I liked Gama Bomb's a bit more.

Gama bomb is total straight-up thrash. Very good but very simple and direct. This holds a good enough variation in little aspects like during riff transitions and movements from one part of song to the other, I just love the drumming there. Seems I just prefer this over that in the end.

Why would they change their song writing so drastically when they were doing pretty good? I'm not against change, but this change I cannot approve of. No strong songs here

Probably the closest to average Havok will get. A lot of this is decent but unremarkable, especially when you compare to the previous two releases.
