Back from the dead?

Wow this album is so dramatic and intense, to me this has a real end of the world vibe to it. I'm liking the heavy chugging riffs, and the symphonies are great. There's no outstanding songs here, but there are no bad songs either, it's a well crafted, and consistent album, but because of it's sheer intensity, it's not the most enjoyable listen. The harsh vocals are ok, I'm not as keen on the clean vocals though. This sounds like a solid comeback.

When all teenagers listens to CoF and start bands and then we fans realize that this band sounds much better as CoF.
It has dark touch, late 90's dark vampiric feeling, decent composition, lyrics, and song writing, artwork, lyrics, basically well done.

Agree with the previous comments, an overall well executed album. Orchestrations are fine but I find it a bit bland and generic on the metal side; none of the riffs really impressed me, neither the drumwork. Vocals are ok but not outstanding. Surprisingly I'm more toward the clean vocals here as the harsh ones lack some character to me. However, songs are catchy and make a fun listen.

I'm running out of nice things to say about this year's releases. I'm really digging this after a couple of spins. The sound and orchestration is top-notch.

EDIT: Just listened to Estrangement for the 5th straight time. What a journey! This album deserves an 11 just for that song... 🤘🎸🖤

Even thought Gothic and Black Metal obviously seem to be related (to the outsider) this combination is not that common. In my opinion, Agathodaimon are an outstanding example for the exciting combination of these two pathways.
