I think that both Ensiferum bands are great, the new one with petri its most folk and i like that because we allready have one wintersun. but im not saying that the one with jari its bad.
By the way, do you know something about Ensiferum??? News, new album or something???

As far as I know there is no news about Ensiferum making a new cd. Victory Songs was released in 2007 so they might make another in a few more years.

They released a dual disc version Victory Songs limited edition with 6 bonus tracks on it. It would be nice to get it...

I'm not sure, but maybe live songs from Iron tour.

My friend transfered me a song by them called Sword Chant. The intro to the song is so catchy it gets stuck in my head so easily! I have to check more of them out!

Ah fuck it. I'll just get the Dragonheads EP in that case.

By far one of my favorite bands. They have some amazing songs. Love everything about them, including the line "Drink beer and fuck your wives"

Meh...Ensiferum died when Jari left. Thats kinda the bottomline....Victory Songs I hardly ever listen to because you can just hear the emptyness Jari left when he left. Petri doesnt really do him justice, eventho Im impressed by how he handles the solos Jari wrote, didnt think he'd master it since Norther doesnt really test his guitar skills to be honest. Petri is a cool dude tho, met him in the UK seriously friendly and had a beer with him....and really blown away by the fact that i came to see him all the way from Africa haha.

Dvd should be fine tho, the previous one was killer

I want to have a beer with him too...lol.

I still like Ensiferum, but Victory Songs isn't as good as Iron. Still, I do like their music. Sad to see that a lot of metal bands are loosing members so often.

A metalfan is even in Africa a metalfan, unless you think you're different from the others. I may not be from a "Viking country" as you say, but I definitely got the spirit of a viking

Oh the memories It was a very good show, even better than I expected

Dragonheads has it's moments, too. And I'm getting into Victory Songs more and more. I got no problem with their new vocalist, honestly.

Maybe it's just me but I prefer both Victory Songs and Iron more then Ensiferum when they had Jari.

It's not just you, my brother also prefer Victory Songs.

It seems like the majority of people prefer the era with Jari better

For people who prefer the Jari era there is Wintersun. I think Ensiferum isn't worse with Petri. Victory Songs is a great album such as Iron or Ensiferum.

At first I was skeptical when Jari left, but I grew to like Petri's shrieking vocals, and now Jari's got Wintersun. So it all works out.

anyways, I like petri, he took a while to get used to, but now I'm a regular Victory Songs listener. I do still love Jari, though.

Wintersun isn't the Jari's Ensiferum, it's diferent, so for those who prefer the Jari ere, well, you are screwed.

I didn't say Wintersun is Jari's Ensiferum I know it's different but it's Jari's band and plays great music.
