Zombies are great. Plain and simple. Zombies go great with heavy metal. Also plain and simple. I had drawn up a playlist of those metal songs most suited to soundtracking a zombie slaughtering, should a zombie apocalypse ever be upon us, which I thought was a good idea. And it was. What was not a good idea was the list, which wasn't particularly good at all. To rectify the situation, I have created this new, improved, and less embarrassingly terrible list. Since there are more than 50 wonderful songs to kill zombies to and I don't actually know them all, this isn't so much the "Top 50" as "50." Maybe if I get around to it I'll do up a sequel. In any case, here are 50.

	1.	Goblin - "Dawn of the Dead" soundtrack Still some classic zombie-killing tunes.
	2.	Disturbed - Down With The Sickness Perhaps this is an obvious choice, but that's because it is one of the best.
	3.	Drowning Pool - Bodies See above.
	4.	Gama Bomb - Zombie Blood Nightmare That about sums up the situation.
	5.	Bonded By Blood - Feed The Beast Hopefully you won't end up doing this.
	6.	Cannibal Corpse - Brain Removal Device It would certainly come in handy.
	7.	Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face Always an option if you can't find yourself a brain removal device.
	8.	Cross Examination - Unlimited Chainsaw Self-explanatory.
	9.	Death - Zombie Ritual If you can describe it as a "ritual"...
	10.	Grim Reaper - Fear No Evil Take heart, young grasshopper.
	11.	Heaven And Hell - Fear On second thought, be very afraid.
	12.	Iron Maiden - Fear Of The Dark Be slightly more afraid.
	13.	Murderdolls - Dawn Of The Dead I think it's obvious why this one made the cut.
	14.	Skull Fist - Hour To Live Even less if they're the fast zombies.
	15.	Obituary - Chopped In Half Ideally, this would describe the zombies rather than you.
	16.	Rob Zombie - Living Dead Girl Who says zombies can't be glamorous every now and then?
	17.	Marilyn Manson - If I Was Your Vampire Okay, so it's obviously not about zombies. Musically, it fits perfectly.
	18.	Alice Cooper - Brutal Planet Even more so if it's a planet populated by the undead.
	19.	Carcass - The Master Butcher's Apron "The blood never dries." Indeed it doesn't.
	20.	The Misfits - Mommy, Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight? Of course you can.
	21.	Artillery - Beneath The Clay (R.I.P.) These riffs could sever heads.
	22.	The Smiths - Meat Is Murder I'm no vegetarian, but I think the title would hold true in this case.
	23.	Kreator - Destroy What Destroys You Obviously.
	24.	Death Angel - Left For Dead It shares a name with the best zombie-themed game ever, so why not?
	25.	Anthrax - Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't Another obvious choice, which was omitted from my original list on account of not being released yet.
	26.	The SLoT - Ночной Дозор "Night Watch." Perfect atmosphere.
	27.	GG Allin - Legalize Murder Not that it would technically be murder, but still.
	28.	Iced Earth - Among The Living Dead After getting gypped on "Horror Show," I'm glad that Iced Earth finally have a zombie song.
	29.	Slayer - Kill Again And again and again and again and again and again...
	30.	Ghost B.C. - Ghuleh/Zombie Queen Only if you don't mind having some of the best atmosphere possible.
	31.	White Zombie - I, Zombie For when you finally get bitten (because you know you will).
	32.	Anaal Nathrakh - This Cannot Be The End Oh yes it can.
	33.	Children Of Bodom - Dead Man's Hand On You Not if you keep your wits about you.
	34.	Evildead - Parricide An unfortunate reality of all your compadres being slightly less than alive.
	35.	General Surgery - Convivial Corpse Disposal Methodology Not that there is much convivial about this situation, but hey, if you can have some fun with it...
	36.	Rammstein - Feuer Frei! Usually, you can't afford to wait until you see the whites of their eyes.
	37.	Manowar - Kill With Power Probably the best strategy.
	38.	3 Inches Of Blood - My Sword Will Not Sleep Good, because neither will they.
	39.	Kypck - Чёрная Дыра I'd guess this is the creepiest thing you've heard all day.
	40.	Metal Church - Merciless Onslaught
	41.	Six Feet Under - Zombie Blood Curse Chris Barnes sure tried his hardest, but this is still a good song (somehow).
	42.	Overkill - Raise The Dead Bad idea, Overkill. Bad idea.
	43.	Megadeth - Take No Prisoners Zombies make for rather uncooperative prisoners anyway.
	44.	Pantera - Slaughtered Everybody everywhere.
	45.	Bronx Casket Company - Dead... For The Moment Until they get back up again.
	46.	Sodom - Outbreak Of Evil Outbreak of SOMETHING, at least.
	47.	Exodus - Deathamphetamine If you could kill with shredding, you'd be all set.
	48.	Type O Negative - Everyone I Love Is Dead Way to be a downer.
	49.	Stalaggh - :Projekt Nihil: This is just... wrong. It... requires more explanation than I can give.
	50.	Richard Thompson - Trafalgar Square This is not related to zombies at all, either conceptually or aesthetically. But it's my list. What are you gonna do about it?
